League of Legends Special Edition ASTRO A30 Headset

ASTRO Gaming today announced an exclusive League of Legends special edition of the company’s ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset.

The League of Legends Special Edition ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset will include a Collector’s Edition box featuring League of Legends concept artwork both inside and out; a new League of Legends-inspired custom headset featuring a soft-touch finish and gold accents; a redemption code for the champion Tristana and her Rocket Girl skin; as well as two sets of magnetically interchangeable ASTRO Speaker Tags featuring League of Legends, and Riot Games art. Three tag sets of art featuring League of Legends champions “Tryndamere,” “Miss Fortune,” and “Morgana,” will be available later this holiday season.

The League of Legends Special Edition ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset is now available via ASTRO Gaming’s web site for $99.99. The headset is available alone or as bundle with ASTRO’s MixAmp Pro for advanced voice chat capabilities on consoles and PC. Standalone Champion tag sets for $19.99.

Company of Heroes Marches Onward with New Updates

Sega announced that the next update for their strategy series Company of Heroes is going live later today. The original Company of Heroes will see a number of feature updates to the game’s Steam functionality, such as secure leaderboards, battle and arbitration servers.

Company of Heroes 2 is continuing the fight on the Eastern Front with this update, offering players the new Theatre of War pack, ‘Southern Fronts’ ($4.99), two free maps as well as a number of game improvements and the ability to upload community created maps in the World Builder via Steam’s Workshop.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky Pre-Order Bonus

Tecmo Koei today announced that pre-orders for Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky are now open. Fans who pre-order from GameStop or Amazon will receive exclusive costume(s) as a pre-order bonus.

In addition, Tecmo Koei has released the opening movie for Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. The game will be available exclusively for PlayStation 3 on March 11th.

Live Broadcasting Booms on PlayStation 4

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced there have been nearly 800,000 gameplay broadcasts and more than 7.1 million spectate sessions via video streaming platforms, Twitch and Ustream, totaling more than 20 million minutes of live gameplay streamed from PlayStation 4.

Ten percent of all content on Twitch has come from PS4 systems since the launch, based on average minutes broadcast. Ustream is reporting an average of 31 minutes of streaming per broadcaster. A few of the top games broadcasted are Battlefield 4, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Halo: Spartan Assault Coming to Xbox One on Christmas Eve

343 Industries today announced that a new and improved Halo: Spartan Assault will be available on December 24th on Xbox One via digital download for $14.99. No only will the Xbox One version feature 1080p resolution and 60fps frame rate, it will also feature a brand-new cooperative mode, new weapons, and the inclusion of the “Operation Hydra” add-on.

Fans that have purchased Halo: Spartan Assault for Windows 8 devices or Windows Phone 8 to date or purchase prior to December 15th will be eligible to purchase the Xbox One version at the discounted price of $4.99. Halo: Spartan Assault will also be available on Xbox 360 in January.

PopCap Games today announced Peggle 2 is now available exclusively first as a digital-only title on Xbox One for $11.99. Peggle 2 offers 60 levels, 60 trials, Peg Party multiplayer action, and four all-new Peggle Masters and power-ups.
