Tecmo Koei today announced the release of a free demo for the upcoming title Toukiden: The Age of Demons, which is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Vita on February 11th. The demo is available for download through the PlayStation Network.
Spanning the entire first and part of the second chapter of the game, this 10-hour sample will also include full access to character customization, all six weapon types and equipment upgrades. It also allows for a trial of the online environment. In the full version players will be able to team up with up to three others to try and defeat the Oni. To give prospective fans the opportunity to fully appreciate the battle system and co-op, the demo will allow up to seven multiplayer missions to be completed.
Players can carry on their save data-equipment, obtained weapons/armor/mitama, materials (up to 30 slots), story progress, and a part of their Haku (in-game currency) to the full version of the game.
Team Ninja and Dark Horse Comics today launched the three-part Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Digital comic series, providing insight into the backstory. Capcom today announced the ultimate HD edition of Resident Evil 4 for PC digital download on Steam. Running at 60 frames per second for the first time, Resident Evil 4 will be available on February 28th for $19.99.
Alongside the announcement, the Steam pre-order campaign has also gone live today which includes a digital soundtrack with more than 60 tracks and a digital artbook for those that purchase early. Resident Evil 4 will include Steam platform support with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Steam Trading Cards, global leaderboards, and full game controller support. The new PC version will include everything from the prior iterations including subtitle support in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese as well as previously released bonus content such as the Separate Ways epilogue.
