Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry Announced as Stand-alone Title

Ubisoft today announced that single-player adventure, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, will be available as a stand-alone game exclusively for download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 for $14.99 on February 18th. The game will also be available for PC on February 25th for $14.99. Originally released as an add-on adventure for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry will not require the purchase of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught Coming to PS4, PS3 and PC on February 27th

Activision today announced that the first Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC pack – Onslaught, will arrive on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC on February 27th. Onslaught delivers four unique and classically designed Call of Duty multiplayer maps, the all-new “Maverick” dual-purpose Assault Rifle/Sniper Rifle, and the first installment in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative, “Episode 1: Nightfall.”

Strider Release Dates and New Modes Revealed

Capcom today announced that Strider will release on February 18th as a $14.99 digital download title on PlayStation Network (PS4, PS3), with the Xbox Live Arcade (Xbox One, Xbox 360) and PC versions out on February 19th.

Revealed today, two new Challenge Modes have been added to the core Story Mode included in Strider. Beacon Run offers a “speed run” race style mode that gives challenges players to hit consecutive checkpoints while slicing through enemies, in the shortest amount of time. Survival Mode tests player’s combat skills with a variety of different item and ability load outs, as waves of progressively difficult and diverse enemies converge on Strider Hiryu. Global online leaderboards track both Challenge Modes, as well as Story Mode times and status results.

Tomb Raider Costume DLC Set for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Square Enix today announced that Tomb Raider costume DLC for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available to download at launch, February 11th, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The DLC will include Lara Croft’s unmistakable gear. In addition to the vest, shorts and boots, players will also receive the exclusive Survivor’s Axe and Riot Shield to help them during battle.

Drakengard 3 Release Date, Collector’s Edition Details

Square Enix today announced that the action role-playing game Drakengard 3 will be released on May 20th, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.

Square Enix also announced the Drakengard 3 Standard Edition / Collector’s Edition Pre-Order Incentive Program begins today, with pre-order bonuses available through specially-timed, three tier pre-order windows.

  • Tier One: players who place their pre-order from today through March 3rd will receive a special Japanese voiceover DLC and automatically unlock the two yet-to-be-announced bonuses;
  • Tier Two: from March 4th to April 8th, pre-ordering the game will unlock the two remaining unannounced bonuses;
  • Tier Three: from April 9th until launch, players will receive the final unannounced locked bonus only.

Players must pre-order Drakengard 3 before March 4th to receive all three special pre-order bonuses.

Drakengard 3 Collector’s Edition is limited to 5,000 copies and includes:

  • All three tier pre-order incentives mentioned above
  • The Complete Novella
  • Official Soundtrack CD Sampler
  • Prequel Stage DLC – Play as Zero’s sister, One, in this additional level

BioShock infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode Two Coming March 25th

2K and Irrational Games announced today that BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode Two, the third add-on content pack for BioShock Infinite, will be available for download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC starting March 25th.

The narrative of this add-on content pack concludes the storyline of BioShock Infinite and Burial at Sea, as seen through the eyes of a new player character, Elizabeth, and features all-new stealth-oriented gameplay, as well as new weapons and modes.
