Midnight City has joined forces with two of the most well-known names in indie games. First up, Midnight City will publish Double Fine Productions’ first sequel, Costume Quest 2, coming to PC and consoles. Next, Midnight City will bring The Fullbright Company’s award-winning Gone Home to consoles. Both titles are slated for digital release later this year.

Xbox One is giving Toronto fans the chance to be the first to play Titanfall before it lands in-stores. On Monday, March 10th, Xbox is bringing the game to life at an exclusive gaming lounge at Tattoo Rock Parlour on Queen Street West in Toronto.
Gamers will have the chance to test three different modes of gameplay on Xbox One. They will also have the opportunity to go head-to-head with celebrity gamers and Xbox MVP players and get other launch-night exclusives, including Titanfall swag and a message from Steve Fukuda, Game Designer for Titanfall at Respawn.

2K and Virgin Gaming today announced the NBA 2K14 King of the Court Challenge, a month-long online video game tournament that will culminate with a live Championship match broadcasted by Major League Gaming. NBA 2K14 players on the PlayStation 3 will be able to register and compete in this online tournament during the qualification round which begins on March 7th and runs through April 3rd. On April 19th, the top two remaining finalists will win an all-expense paid trip to New York City to compete in the live Championship on the PlayStation 4 and broadcast from the MLG studios and airing exclusively on MLG.tv. The grand prize winner will receive a trip to the 2014 NBA Finals, $5,000 USD and a PlayStation 4 system NBA 2K14 bundle.
Contestants can sign up throughout the qualifying round at www.virgingaming.com/kingofthecourt, where they can register for a Virgin Gaming account, opt-in to the King of the Court leaderboards and begin qualifying.

The top four participants from each leaderboard will be entered into the 16-person bracketed semi-finals which will be held on April 9-10th. The semi-finalists will compete until the last two finalists remain. Then on April 19th, the two finalists will compete on the PlayStation 4 live from the MLG studios in New York City in a best-of-three match to determine the true King of the Court.

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that Jack Tretton will step down from his role as President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America as of March 31st. This is a result of a mutual agreement between Mr. Tretton and SCEA not to renew their contractual relationship.
Shawn Layden, currently Executive Vice President and COO of Sony Network Entertainment International, will become President and CEO of SCEA, effective April 1st.
Namco Bandai today confirmed that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle will be available on April 29th exclusively for the PlayStation 3. Activision today announced Devastation, the second of four DLC packs for Call of Duty: Ghosts, is set to launch on April 3rd first, exclusively on Xbox Live for Xbox One and Xbox 360. Devastation features four new small to medium-sized multiplayer maps, including a mountaintop Mayan temple, a mangled container ship, a giant excavation digger in South America, and a fully reimagined version of Infinity Ward’s fan-favorite map “Dome” from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – each with their own unique Field Order. There’s also the all-new “Ripper” tactical 2-in-1 weapon, and “Episode 2: Mayday” – the second chapter in Extinction’s four-part episodic narrative which includes multiple mod-able versions of the Venom-X weapon, and closes with a battle against a monstrous, 100-foot tall Cryptid alien boss, aptly named the Kraken.
