Titanfall Frontier’s Edge DLC Unveiled

Titanfall Frontier's Edge

Respawn Entertainment today announced Titanfall Frontier’s Edge, the next DLC pack for the first-person shooter Titanfall. Pushing the battle to the furthest reaches of the universe, Titanfall Frontier’s Edge introduces three new maps including the isolated mining outpost of Dig Site, the exclusive beach resort of Haven and the mining hub on the side of a mountain known as Export.

Titanfall Frontier’s Edge is the second of three planned content packs with each pack available for $9.99 ($24.99 for the Titanfall Season Pass).

2K and Gearbox Announce Battleborn

2K and Gearbox Software today announced Battleborn, an all-new hero-shooter for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

The game combines highly-stylized visuals and first-person shooting, with co-operative combat and a collection of diverse heroes. Battleborn is set in the distant future of a science-fantasy universe where players experience both a narrative-driven co-operative campaign, as well as competitive multiplayer matches.

NASCAR ’14 Update Live

Deep Silver announced today the availability of a free gameplay update for NASCAR ’14 that will allow gamers to be the first to experience NASCAR’s new Chase for the Sprint Cup format. The update also includes the changes outlined below:

  • New qualifying and Chase format rules announced by NASCAR in early 2014
  • Additional drivers to complete a full field of 43 Sprint Cup drivers
  • Various gameplay refinements around pitting, decals and paint, and the online private lobby
  • Difficulty setting adjustments designed to bring AI closer to the selected level
  • Adjustments to Darlington and Kansas race lengths

Fortnite – Gameplay Video

Epic Games has released a new gameplay video for Fortnite. In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm.”

Fortnite is in development for PC, but may come to other platforms in the future. The game is expected to release in 2015.

Hand of Fate Launches on Steam Early Access

Defiant Development today announced that Hand of Fate – a Kickstarter-funded title made for board, collectible card, RPG and rogue-like game enthusiasts – is now available on Steam Early Access and will be coming to PlayStatoin 4 in Q4 2014 and PlayStation Vita in Q1 2015.

More Tables Added to Zen Pinball on PS4

Zen Studios today announced a major update for Zen Pinball for PlayStation 4. The update, which will go live on July 15th, brings a host of tables from the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of the game over to the platform, including:

  • Marvel Pinball Vengeance and Virtue –Ghost Rider, X-Men, Thor, Moon Knight ($9.99)
  • Classic Pack –Tesla, V12, Shaman, El Dorado ($9.99)
  • Fantastic Four ($2.99)
  • Captain America ($2.99)
  • Marvel Civil War ($2.99)
  • Super Street Fighter II Tribute ($2.99)
  • Mars ($2.49)
  • Excalibur ($2.49)

Additionally, players who downloaded any of these tables on PS3 or Vita previously can import them now onto the PS4 version of Zen Pinball 2 at no charge.

Daedalic Entertainment today announced the release of Deponia: The Complete Journey. This collection of the Deponia series includes all three games: Deponia, Chaos on Deponia and Goodbye Deponia in a revised version for $39.99. Those who already own one or more installments of the Deponia series on Steam will get a 30% discount on Deponia: The Complete Journey per Deponia title in their library.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel – Gameplay Walkthrough

2K and Gearbox Software have released a narrated gameplay walkthrough of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Join two of Handsome Jack’s newest recruits, Athena the Gladiator and Wilhelm the Enforcer, on their quest to save Pandora’s moon. In this walkthrough, you’ll witness butt stomping, low-gravity gameplay, face lasering, and possibly even some joy puking.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be available on October 14th for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

Destiny Beta Begins July 17th, Collector’s Editions Revealed

Activision and Bungie today confirmed the calendar for the Destiny Beta, which will include a sampling of major activities featured in the full game. Fans who pre-order Destiny at a participating retailer are guaranteed access into the Beta, which will commence as follows:

  • The Beta begins first for PlayStation 4 (PlayStation Plus required for some features) and PlayStation 3 at 10:00am PDT on July 17th
  • The Beta begins for Xbox One and Xbox 360 (Xbox Live Gold required, subject to change) at 10:00am PDT on July 23rd
  • The Beta will be offline for scheduled maintenance on July 21st – July 22nd and open back up to pre-order participants across all platforms until 11:59pm PDT on July 27th

Activision and Bungie also revealed today three collector’s edition versions of the game. The Destiny Ghost Edition and the Destiny Limited Edition both include the following:

  • Limited edition SteelBook Case and Game Disc
  • Guardian Folio:
    • Arms & Armament Field Guide
    • Postcards from the Golden Age
    • Antique Star Chart
  • Collector’s Edition Digital Content Pack:

    • Expansion I: The Dark Below – Set deep beneath the surface of the Moon, fans will discover an ancient tomb that has been unsealed, and a dark god who has risen an evil army in the depths of the Hellmouth, the home of the Hive enemy race
    • Expansion II: House of Wolves – details will be revealed later
    • PlayStation platforms will also include additional exclusive content for Expansion I and II and will remain exclusive until at least Fall of 2015

The Destiny Ghost Edition will also include the following:

The Destiny Ghost Edition ($149.99), the Destiny Limited Edition ($99.99), the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition ($89.99) and the Destiny Expansion Pass ($34.99 for the pass, Expansion I and Expansion II will be priced individually at $19.99 when they launch) are available for pre-order now. All pre-orders on any sku will include access to the Vanguard Armory that includes early access to weapons, gear and exclusive player emblem.
