Dead Shark Triplepunch announced their online multiplayer arena sports game, Epigenesis, is now available for PC via Steam for $9.99 with a 15% launch discount this week. Epigenesis is a futuristic FPS ball game in which two sides are locked in a never-ending fight for world-domination by playing ball.
EA Sports announced full details regarding Madden Ultimate Team in Madden NFL 15. Madden Ultimate Team allows fans to collect some of the best NFL players from the past and present, upgrade their squad into an unstoppable force and then dominate any opposition they face.
In Madden Ultimate Team, fans can earn coins by completing online head-to-head games or single-player solo challenges which, in turn, allow them to purchase packs with new players, coaches, playbooks, stadiums and more, or head to the auction house to bid on specific items. This year, several new features have been added to streamline the process of acquiring new items and upgrading a team. Players can now easily sort, view and manage items in their binder; promoting players, adding them to collections, extending contracts and more, all from a single screen. The revamped lineup screens also show at a glance which players are available at each position, allowing for quick and simple roster shuffling.
Other fan-favorite features return this year, including Head-to-Head Seasons and team Style (formerly known as Chemistry).
Madden NFL 15 will be available on August 26th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
With the re-imagining of Shadowgate coming to PC on August 21st, the story behind the evil that plagues the living castle is introduced in this new cinematic trailer. Told through hand-painted sequences from the game, the trailer unveils the malevolent Talimar the Black, his fall from grace, and the power he seeks buried deep within the bowels of Castle Shadowgate.
Klei Entertainment announced that on August 19th they are bringing procedural turn-based stealth to Steam Early Access with their newest game, Invisible, Inc..
Players command an elite group of spies, using stealth, information, and tactics as their only friends. Enter a procedurally generated world with danger around every corner; Hack into systems, upgrade agents, and manipulate guards in order to infiltrate and escape some of the most secure locations in the world – preferably alive.
Invisible, Inc. will be available on Steam for $15.99 (20% off $19.99) for the duration of early access.
Sumthing Else Music Works, through its licensing relationship with Capcom, announced the digital release of Mega Man Soundtracks Volumes 1-10, featuring the official soundtracks to the 8-bit series.
Previously released in Japan as part of the 10-disc “Rockcan” collection, the Sumthing Else Music Works digital release of Mega Man Soundtracks presents the collection in ten separate volumes for $9.99 each. Volumes 1-4 are available now, with two new volumes scheduled to be released every month through November, 2014.

EA Sports has released the next video in their FIFA 15 Gameplay Features series, this time, focusing on how the game’s Agility and Control brings a heightened level of responsiveness and fluidity to gameplay, as well as true personality to the world’s best players – Leo Messi and other superstars will dribble and move like they do in real life. A new ball physics system, Correct Contacts changes the game – the ball now keeps its momentum and accurate spin giving fans variety when passing, dribbling, and controlling the ball.
Off the ball, Man to Man Battles transforms the way you compete. Dispossessing your opponent in FIFA 15 is more rewarding and physical than ever before. Players use Full-Body Defending to win possession and keep it. Possession Tackles will reward great defending, helping players keep the ball close to their feet when a challenge is won. New shoulder barges, push/pull mechanics, and big fall physics allow fans to feel the battle; shirt pulling is also visible thanks to new character visuals and improved cloth technology.
FIFA 15 hits stores September 23rd on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will also be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and other platforms.
During Microsoft’s media conference at ChinaJoy, Snail Games announced plans for its upcoming martial arts-themed MOBA, King of Wushu. The game is the latest addition to Snail Games’s martial arts series, and will be available for PC and Xbox One.
King of Wushu is in early development, with more news to be released in the future.
Call of Duty: Ghosts caps off a season of content with the release of the fourth and final DLC pack, Call of Duty: Ghosts Nemesis, coming first, exclusively to Xbox platforms on August 5th.
Call of Duty: Ghosts Nemesis introduces four new multiplayer maps from varied locales, each with unique Field Orders specific to the map, and includes the conclusion of Extinction’s four-part narrative with “Episode 4: Exodus,” where players fight for mankind’s survival as the Cryptid invasion reaches its deadly climax.
Nemesis will be available a la carte for $14.99, or as part of the Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Season Pass.
Starting today, players can try out Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for free. The 14-day free trial program allows new players an opportunity to join over 2 million adventurers worldwide who have already begun their journey throughout the realm of Eorzea.
By downloading and installing the free trial software, which is available at www.ffxiv-freetrial.com, players can play for free for up to 14 days from account creation to a maximum level of twenty. Free trial players will have certain limitations on available in-game activities.
Cyanide is bringing back a blast from the past this season: Front Page Sports Football. This classic American football PC video game license from back in the 90’s is now being brought back to life just in time for the upcoming football season. It will be self-published by Cyanide and available for PC.
With Front Page Sports Football players will be able to manage a US football team of their creation and make all the decisions that a real manager or coach would make during a season. Just like every other general manager, players will compose the best team (from the draft, signing free agents and the like), as well as manage many other details like morale, affinity, finances, training sessions, etc.
At the same time players will fill the role of coach, setting a game plan for every match through a playbook of over 2,300 unique plays. They will also have access to a range of orders and actions to improve management of the team. Players can also watch full 2D or 3D replays of their game and consult a wide range of statistics to improve his team moves, anticipate the reaction of his challengers, and much more.
