Atari announced today that it’s MOBA-like third-person shooter Minimum has excited Steam Early Access and is now available as a full release. Starting today until September 17th, Minimum will be on sale for 50% off and available for $4.99.

Activision Announces The Voice

Activision today announced The Voice, a single and multiplayer singing video game based on the music competition series of the same name. The Voice will be arriving October 21st for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Impress the coaches and watch them compete for you to join their team. From the Blind Auditions to the Battle Rounds, all the way to the Finale, experience the show with the ultimate goal of being named “The Voice.” In Party Mode, battle together or against seven of your friends singing chart-topping hits spanning Rock, R&B, Pop and Country genres. Singers can also practice real-world techniques in Voice Coach Mode like singing runs and harmonizing.

Nintendo Announces Three Colourful New Looks for 3DS XL

NES Edition Nintendo 3DS XL

The Nintendo 3DS XL will be getting three new looks for the holiday season. Nintendo announced the three special-edition Nintendo 3DS XL systems that will be available in limited quantities, including:

  • Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo 3DS XL: These special edition systems go on sale September 19th in honour of the October 3rd launch of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. The Red Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo 3DS XL will be available at EB Games. The Blue Super Smash Bros. Edition Nintendo 3DS XL will be available at Future Shop and Best Buy. The cover of the new hardware features a dozen of the game’s characters, including Mario, Link, Samus and Little Mac. The systems will be available for $199.99 each. (Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is sold separately.)
  • NES Edition Nintendo 3DS XL: This hardware exclusive goes on sale October 10th for $199.99 at retailers across Canada. The hardware is modeled after Nintendo’s iconic NES controller and the box looks like an NES system.
  • Persona Q Edition Nintendo 3DS XL: In honour of the November 25th launch of the Atlus role-playing game Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, EB Games will be the exclusive retailer for the Persona Q Edition of the Nintendo 3DS. The design evokes the essence of Persona Q with the Grimoire styling on the front and the new style of character art represented on the back. It will be available for $199.99. (Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is sold separately.)

Assassin’s Creed Unity – Heist Mission Commented Demo

Creative Director Alex Amancio walks us through this first look at a co-op heist mission from Assassin’s Creed Unity. In heist missions you’ll have to coordinate your skills and attacks to infiltrate, steal the artifacts, and escape without being detected. The less you’re seen, the higher your reward for finishing the mission will be. Heists are just one type of co-op mission and with constantly changing goal placement as well as a variable number and location of guards, you can replay heists again and again for a fresh experience every time.

Assassin’s Creed Unity will be released on November 11th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Watch Dogs Coming to Wii U on November 18th

Ubisoft today announced that the open-world action game, Watch Dogs, will be available for the Wii U on November 18th.

Watch Dogs will take advantage of the Wii U specific hardware with a detailed and interactive map of Chicago to be displayed on the Wii U GamePad. The game also features Off-TV Play, letting gamers continue playing Watch Dogs solely on the Wii U GamePad.

FIFA 15 Demo Live

Electronic Arts today announced that the playable demo of FIFA 15 is available to download for PC on Origin, Xbox One and Xbox 360 for Xbox Live Gold members, and PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The FIFA 15 demo on Xbox 360 will be available to Xbox Live Silver members beginning September 16th.

Fans will be able to play in Anfield as Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona, Chelsea FC, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, SSC Napoli, Manchester City, and Boca Juniors, or as one of five unique squads in FIFA Ultimate Team.

In addition, EA has released a trailer showcasing new celebrations in FIFA 15.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 to be Episodic

Capcom last week confirmed Resident Evil Revelations 2 is in development for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available in early 2015.

Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 will initially release as a weekly series of episodic downloads. Each of the four episodes will feature hours of gameplay ending with cliff-hangers that will leave players anticipating the next twist in the horror story. A digital download option of the Complete Season will also be available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive following the final episode. Both the disc version and the Complete Season will include additional game content, which will be detailed in the coming weeks and months.

Endless Legend Coming to Steam Next Week

Iceberg Interactive and developer Amplitude Studios revealed that the fantasy-strategy 4x game Endless Legend will officially leave the Early Access program and launch on Steam on September 18th.
