To celebrate the launch of NBA 2K15 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this month, 2K created an original content film titled ‘2K Heroes’ which showcases commentary from Kevin Durant, Michael Jordan, Stephen Curry, and Shaquille O’Neal. Dragon Ball fans mark your calendar. Bandai Namco today announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse will launch on February 17th for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and PC.
The game will be available in a limited “Day 1” Edition that will include an exclusive playable character in the form of Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta and two special Frieza Soldier’s Battle Suits offering players the chance to sport both Gold and Crystal outfits.
This past weekend at its first European Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, Square Enix announced more details for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV expansion, Heavensward.
During the opening ceremony presentation, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida introduced flying mounts, new beast tribes and primals and a new job: Dark Knight. These will all be featured in Heavensward when it launches next spring.
Two types of flying mounts were revealed at the Fan Festival, a flying black chocobo and single-rider airships, both making it easier to explore the floating lands that will be featured prominently in the expansion.
Heavensward also introduces two new beast tribes, the Vanu Vanu and the Gnath, as well as their primals, Bismarck, and Ravana, respectively.
Finally, the first new job to be released in Heavensward was revealed: Dark Knight. This new job will serve as a tank, wields a two-handed greatsword, utilizes darkness-based actions and unlike the existing jobs in the game, will not feature a base class that later evolves into a job.
Yoshida concluded the keynote by announcing that more details, and more jobs will be revealed for Heavensward at the next Fan Festival event, taking place in Tokyo on December 20 – 21.

Ubisoft has released a new Far Cry 4 trailer which takes viewers on a visual tour of Kyrat’s midland and Himalayan regions. The trailer provides a glimpse into Kyrat’s forests, where its booming drug trade, exotic animals, brutal blood sports and the deadly Arena competition is prevalent. Viewers will also get a look into Kyrat’s snow covered Himalayan peaks. From the Royal Army’s elites, ravenous wolves and tigers, and avalanches, every moment is a near-death experience.
Far Cry 4 will be released on November 18th.
2K today announced Who Got NXT mode, a brand new mode exclusive to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of WWE 2K15. Who Got NXT focuses on five NXT Superstars – Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Rusev, Corey Graves and Bo Dallas – who are assigned their own chapters consisting of four matches that players will need to complete in sequential order. Once players successfully complete all four matches (and their corresponding match stipulations), the featured NXT Superstar will be unlocked on the main game roster.
After unlocking all five NXT Superstars, players will be able to participate in the new Proving Ground match. The Proving Ground is the spiritual successor to WWE 2K14’s Defeat the Streak. In Defeat the Streak, players were tasked with ending Undertaker’s WrestleMania winning streak, while in the Proving Ground match, players will match up against WWE 2K15 cover Superstar John Cena.
