Resident Evil to Launch Digitally on January 20th

Capcom today confirmed that the definitive version of Resident Evil is set for release digitally beginning on January 20th for $19.99. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Second DLC Pack for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Coming December 16th

2K today announced that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s second batch of add-on content, the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught, is coming out on December 16th alongside a free update that adds a third playthrough. This add-on pack features appearances from veteran Vault Hunters Gaige and Axton as fans battle through a new challenge arena while being able to gain 10 more levels with an added level cap increase.

2K Announces Formation of Hangar 13

2K today announced the formation of Hangar 13, a new development studio under its 2K publishing label. Led by veteran game developer Haden Blackman, Hangar 13 is working on an unannounced next-generation title.

Project Root Announced

Indie developer OPQAM and Reverb Triple XP announced today that Project Root, a free-roaming overhead shooter will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation Vita in early 2015. To launch a revolution against evil, players will pilot an advance hover fighter against a bulletstorm of enemies from a global corporation with hidden plans for world domination.

Blood Bowl 2 – Kickoff Trailer

Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer for Blood Bowl 2, which will be releaesd in Spring 2015 on PC, and also newly announced on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Stone-Age Adventure “Fire” Coming in January

Daedalic Entertainment and EuroVideo today announced they will launch Fire, an animated stone-age exploration adventure about the humorous Neanderthal Ungh, for PC on January 6th. Fire is now available for pre-order on Steam, offering buyers a 10% discount.

Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart – Opening Movie

Idea Factory International has released the opening movie for Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart. The first strategy RPG in the Hyperdimension Neptunia series will be coming in early 2015 exclusively on the PlayStation Vita.

Dying Light Season Pass Details

Techland today announced the Season Pass for Dying Light, detailing the line-up of three content drops. Priced at $19.99, the Season Pass will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and will include exclusive missions, original weapons and outfits, and brand-new gameplay.

The Dying Light Season Pass contains:

• Cuisine & Cargo – Available first for Season Pass holders, these two hardcore missions let players put their skills to the ultimate test. Investigate buildings sealed off in the very first days of the outbreak – with the infected inside. Explore ominous corridors of once the most famous restaurant in Harran, and employ both stealth and combat to ransack a zombie-filled loading bay at an abandoned railroad yard.
• Ultimate Survivor Bundle – Players will receive seven unique in-game items that will bring fighting zombies to a whole new level. Grab three special outfits and four blueprints for over-the-top weapons to make your survival in the quarantine zone a good bit easier.
• The Bozak Horde – The final Season Pass drop will deliver a new map and gameplay, playable in either single-player or co-op. Go inside the Harran Stadium, the most famous landmark in the city, and test your combat know-how against relentless hordes of the Infected. The first Season Pass drop will be arriving in February. Additionally, Dying Light Ultimate Edition, containing the game and the Season Pass, will soon be available to pre-order for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Dying Light will be released on January 27th.

Battleline: Steel Warfare Second Beta Opens Next Week

Bandai Namco today announced that the second beta testing for their upcoming free-to-play PC title, Battleline: Steel Warfare will open on December 9th.

Players who previously participated in the first beta testing will receive exclusive rewards, including 500 thousand gold coins and a special M4 Sherman tank with custom skin. New tanks will also be regularly released over the course of the beta.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker in Stores This Week

Nintendo today announced Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will launch exclusively for the Wii U on December 5th. Players must muster their own courage to help Captain Toad and Toadette tackle maze-like levels full of tricks, traps and enemies.
