Lateset Square Enix Collective Project, Goetia, Heads to Kickstarter

Following successful Kickstarter campaigns last year for Moon Hunters and Black The Fall, the first project to be supported by Square Enix Collective in 2015 is Goetia – a point-and-click adventure for PC set in a haunted English mansion in the middle of World War II.

You take control of Abigail Blackwood, a girl who died some 50 years previously, as you explore your surroundings and answer some key questions: Where is everybody? Why have you returned? And what has your family gotten mixed up with since your death…?

The team behind the game is France-based Sushee, which first submitted the project to the Collective feedback platform last year and achieved a 90% yes-vote. The team is seeking $30,000 to complete the game (which is already partway through development).

Guild of Dungeoneering Announced

Indie Irish developer Gambrinous today announced their partnership with indie games publisher Versus Evil to release Guild of Dungeoneering on PC in 2015.

Guild of Dungeoneering is a turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot. Meanwhile your hero is making his own decisions on where to go and what to fight. But will he be strong enough to take on the dungeon’s overlord?

In between dungeon runs you manage your Guild, building new rooms to attract new classes of adventurer and to expand your decks of cards with more powerful items and events.
