Electronic Arts today announced that the Batttlefield Hardline trial is coming on March 12th for EA Access members.
Members will be the first to jump into Battlefield Hardline for a full 10 hours, playing both single-player and multiplayer before the game is released. The trial contains all the multiplayer maps and game modes, giving you first dibs on content never before available to gamers. You’ll also get first crack on the story, experiencing the prologue and first chapter of the crime drama.
All your progress in single player and multiplayer will carry over when Battlefield Hardline is released on March 17th. If you dig the trial, you can also save 10% when you purchase Battlefield Hardline on Xbox One.
Sierra today announced that it is teaming up with FuturLab to bring the independent developer’s arcade shooter, Velocity 2X, to Xbox One and PC this summer.
Exclusive to the Xbox One and PC editions of Velocity 2X are special daily challenge stages, making the game’s leaderboard system even more compelling for competitive speedrunners. These versions also include all the bonus stages from the Critical Urgency and Dual Core DLC packs from Velocity 2X’s original PlayStation releases.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have released the newest video from Batman: Arkham Knight. The Official Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer – “Gotham is Mine” features a closer look at some of the story’s most infamous super-villains. As Scarecrow unites the Rogues Gallery, including Two-Face, The Penguin, the Riddler, the Arkham Knight, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, they bring all-out war as they try to take down The Dark Knight, and claim Gotham City as their own.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be available on June 2nd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Bethesda Softworks today announced The Evil Within: The Assignment will be available on March 10th. The Assignment, the first in a two-part, story driven experience, will be followed up with The Evil Within: The Consequence later this Spring.
In The Evil Within: The Assignment and The Evil Within: The Consequence, players take on the role of detective Juli Kidman, Sebastian Castellanos’ mysterious partner, in a concurrent story that looks to answer some of the questions surrounding her whereabouts during The Evil Within. Along the way she will encounter disturbing new enemies, discover new mysteries, and uncover new horrors. The Assignment and The Consequence give fans of The Evil Within the perfect opportunity to discover detective Kidman’s hidden motivations and her mysterious connection to Mobius, the shadowy group thought to be behind the gruesome events of The Evil Within.
Both The Assignment and The Consequence are available as part of The Evil Within’s Season Pass. Priced at $19.99, the Season Pass offers savings on all three add-ons for the game, including the third DLC, The Evil Within: The Executioner. The Assignment is also available for purchase separately for $9.99.
Ahead of the official Japanese launch this week, Square Enix today announced Dragon Quest Heroes will be coming to North America in 2015 for the PlayStation 4. This will arrive in the form of a full-scale action RPG for the first time in the Dragon Quest series.
Wired Productions today announced it has partnered with React! Games to publish Super Dungeon Bros on multiple platforms in Fall 2015.
Super Dungeon Bros is a rock-themed co-op dungeon brawler in which a band of four mighty bros must raid the endless dungeons of Rökheim, a giant scar of godforsaken earth, where wars are waged in epic dungeons built by the gods themselves.

Indie developer Pencil Test, in partnership with Versus Evil, has released a behind the scenes trailer that reveals the ‘magic’ used to create their new clay animation point and click adventure game, Armikrog.
Bucking the traditional development process, ‘Giving Life to Tommynaut’ focuses on how the game’s lead protagonist Tommynaut and his sidekick Beak Beak are brought to life through a combination of stop motion puppet and clay animation techniques with modern day technologies, creating a uniquely handcrafted video game experience.
The game will initially launch on PC this Spring with a Wii U version also in the works.

Capcom announced that the episodic serial thriller Resident Evil Revelations 2 releases digitally beginning today, with Episode 1 available now on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. On February 25th, Episode 1 will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC via Steam.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is releasing as a weekly series of episodic downloads beginning today. A digital download option of the Complete Season is also available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive on March 17th when the final episode releases. Each episode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 includes Raid mode content and two full playable scenarios focused on the Claire and Moira storyline as well as the Barry and Natalia campaign.
