Jackbox Games Announces Quiplash

Jackbox Games today announced their newest party game – Quiplash. Up to eight players compete against one another to improvise clever responses to open-ended questions like “An alternate use for a banana” or “Something you’d be surprised to see a donkey do” before turning to a group vote to determine the best and/or funniest answers.

Quiplash is being developed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, and PC via Steam. Only one person needs to own the game to play; everyone else can join in using their mobile phone, tablet or internet-connected device as a controller. What’s more, Quiplash allows a huge number of spectators who aren’t playing to vote for their favorite one-liners and impact the game’s outcome, making it perfect for engaging audiences through Twitch.

Jackbox is reaching out to the community through Kickstarter to raise the resources necessary to get Quiplash polished and in the hands of players quickly. Jackbox has set a starting goal of $15,000 for the campaign, aiming to deliver a final product early this summer if successful.
