Deep Silver to Publish Mighty No. 9 Digitally and Physically

Deep Silver and comcept today announced their partnership to release Mighty No. 9, the upcoming side-scrolling action game, digitally and in retail stores. Mighty No. 9 will be available on September 15th as a digital download as well as physical retail version for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U, as well as digital only on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Portable versions for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS will be released digitally at a later date.

The partnership enables comcept to not only broaden the audience for Mighty No. 9 by bringing the game to retail, but also provides them with additional resources to add value for the 67,226 backers and new players alike. This includes:

  • ‘Ray’ DLC: An all-new stage including a battle with Beck’s rival Ray that, upon completion, unlocks Ray as a playable character for the entire main game, adding unique skills and all-new gameplay mechanics. The stage will be available as additional DLC. This extra content will be included in all retail editions and will be provided free to all Kickstarter backers of the project, upon release of the game.
  • Voice-over support: Japanese and French voice-overs have been recorded and will be added to all versions of the game alongside the already planned English VO.
  • Localized versions: Deep Silver will provide localized versions with subtitles in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Russian, Polish and Brazilian Portuguese languages.

While comcept remains the owner of the Mighty No. 9 brand, the two companies will join forces to bring the game to market. Deep Silver will spearhead sales and marketing efforts for the game.
