A Crowd of Monsters has released a developer diary for the upcoming episodic noire story, Blues and Bullets. The video diary commemorates the passing of Eliot Ness, which happened exactly 58 years ago this past weekend. In Blues and Bullets, you play as Eliot Ness, the infamous detective that headed “The Untouchables” in an alternative future, where despite his attempts to return to a normal life, he’s forced right back into the field to investigate strange murders that have been occurring.
The first episode of Blues and Bullets is planned to release in early summer 2015 on Xbox One and PC.
The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of April. While hardware sales were down year-over-year in April by 4%, software sales were up 13%. Overall, total industry sales were up 3% to $595.7 million. Xbox One was the top-selling platform in April, up 63% year-over-year, while PlayStation 4 was No. 1 in software sales.

2K and Firaxis Games today announced Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth – Rising Tide, the expansion pack for 2014’s turn-based strategy title, Civilization: Beyond Earth, is currently in development for PC and is scheduled for release in fall 2015 for $29.99.
Rising Tide will expand Beyond Earth to new frontiers on the planet’s surface and across its seas, adding more choices and diplomatic options as players build “one more turn” toward a new vision for humanity’s future. New aquatic gameplay will explore the oceans for colonization by extending the play space, while an overhauled diplomacy system will provide players with additional layers of dynamic choices and options to shape the diplomatic landscape while engaging with the AI and one another.

NeocoreGames announced today that The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III, the third game in the gothic-noir action RPG series, will be available on Steam this Friday, May 22nd – exactly a year after the second game in the trilogy was released. NeocoreGames has also revealed the final two classes featured in the game – the long-ranged weapon specialist, the Bounty Hunter, and the weapon-heavy Constructor – in a new video.
inXile Entertainment returns to Kickstarter for their next cRPG project, The Bard’s Tale IV, launching June 2nd at 9:00 AM EST, which just happens to be the 30th anniversary of the original game.
