Frontier Foundry has revealed the third developer diary for the studio’s upcoming turn-based tactical RPG Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters.
“Episode 3 – The Emperor’s Hammer” explores the authentic Warhammer 40,000 experience crafted by developers Complex Games, providing another look at key gameplay elements which players will use to build their squad and purge the daemonic. Players are also introduced to the crew of the Baleful Edict, the player’s Strike Cruiser and mobile base of operations throughout the game.

Today, during a Monster Hunter Digital Event, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto unveiled a new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the expansion to Monster Hunter Rise. The new trailer offers a glimpse of the new story, the new Elgado Outpost hub, the new monsters, and the new abilities that hunters will encounter after completing the story of the base game. The Digital Event also provided the first in-depth look at some of the new content arriving in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and revealed the June 30th release date for both Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam with pre-orders starting today.
Rockstar Games today announced that Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online are now available digitally on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with a host of improvements and upgrades for new and existing players.
Bethesda Softworks today released the first DLC for the “Legacy of the Bretons” 2022 storyline. The Elder Scrolls Online: Ascending Tide is available now for all PC players, and will launch on Xbox and PlayStation consoles on March 29th.
2K today announced WWE 2K22 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Featuring Rey Mysterio on the cover in celebration of his 20th anniversary as a WWE Superstar, the game features a top-to-bottom overhaul, including a redesigned engine and gameplay, intuitive and accessible controls, multiple new game modes, and an immersive presentation and camera angles throughout. WWE 2K22 also features a diverse soundtrack curated by Executive Soundtrack Producer Machine Gun Kelly, who will be available in a future DLC pack as a playable character.
In a new Dead Space livestream today, Motive ran through an early look at the audio systems unpinning the remake of the Dead Space audio experience: the Occlusion System, A.L.I.V.E. System and the work being done with weapon audio.
Second, the team revealed a couple more key timeframes for Dead Space. First, Motive announced that the game will be launching in early 2023 and second, there will be another stream in May 2022 focused squarely on the Art Design for the game.
Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s third major expansion, Dawn of Ragnarök, is now available across all available platforms. For the first time in an Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting a second year of content, starting with the most ambitious expansion in the history of the franchise: Dawn of Ragnarök. In addition, new seasonal content free for all players will continue to enrich the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experience during this second year.
With development led by Ubisoft Sofia, in Dawn of Ragnarök Eivor must embrace their destiny as Odin, the Norse god of Battle and Wisdom. The dwarven kingdom of Svartalfheim is crumbling, and amid the chaos, Odin’s beloved son, Baldr, has been taken prisoner by the unkillable fire giant, Surtr. Players will be able to unleash new divine powers as they continue their legendary Viking saga by embarking on a desperate rescue quest through a mythological world of contrasts.
Dawn of Ragnarök is designed to offer a true progression for existing players and is positioned as endgame content. The recommended power level to play the expansion is 340, but new players can still dive right into the expansion and experience Odin’s story. For Valhalla players that haven’t reached the power level of 340, they can boost their character’s stats and gear inside the Dawn of Ragnarök content.
Dawn of Ragnarök is available as a separate purchase for $49.99 for all owners of the main game.
Square Enix today announced that Chocobo GP, a kart racing experience set in the Chocobo universe, is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch. Players can now accelerate through magical and chaotic courses with beloved characters from the Chocobo and Final Fantasy franchises, including Vivi and Steiner from Final Fantasy IX. The deluxe demo version, Chocobo GP Lite, is also available for download, allowing players to take on courses from well-known Chocobo and Final Fantasy series locations in both local multiplayer and select online multiplayer modes.
2K today unveiled the roadmap for post-launch content updates in WWE 2K22, featuring fan-favorite WWE Superstars, celebrity guests, Legends, and several rising NXT stars making their franchise debuts. In total, five post-launch content packs will be available featuring 28 new playable characters, providing players with new content for months to come. Post-launch content packs are available for individual purchase, while the full set of packs is included with the Season Pass, Deluxe Edition, and nWo 4-Life Digital Edition of WWE 2K22.
Notable celebrity additions from post-launch content include WWE 2K22 Executive Soundtrack Producer Machine Gun Kelly, as well as social media personality Logan Paul, who is currently scheduled for a match at WrestleMania with tag team partner The Miz against the team of WWE 2K22 cover Superstar Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik Mysterio.
Additional post-launch playable characters of note include “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” Ronda Rousey, Doink the Clown, LA Knight, Mr. T, Rob Van Dam, Stacy Keibler, Cactus Jack, The British Bulldog, Umaga, Yokozuna, and Doudrop.
Square Enix today announced The DioField Chronicle, an all-new strategy-RPG that immerses players in a tale of war and honor, is coming to the PlayStation 5, the PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via later this year.
This fresh new franchise is developed by Square Enix in conjunction with Lancarse, a team of veteran strategy developers, features unique character designs by Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, IV), concept art by Isamu Kamikokuryo (Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy XIII) and has orchestrated music by composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, known best for their work on Game of Thrones.
The Announcement Trailer unveiled today provides a first look at the story and strategic real-time battle system called ‘Real-Time Tactical Battle’. Told through ‘diorama’-style combat scenes, players will assess front line conditions in real-time, issue decisive orders and use a variety of skills, classes, and equipment to gain the upper hand over their foes.
