Worms WMD Announced

Team17 announced Worms WMD will be heading to Xbox One and PC in early 2016.

Worms WMD features a brand new look 2D cartoon-inspired worm as well as hand drawn landscapes. For the first time ever players will be able to use new vehicles and even enter buildings which will add new strategic elements of gameplay to the traditional wormy warfare.

Rocket League DLC Coming in August

Psyonic has revealed the first paid DLC pack for Rocket League. Dubbed “Supersonic Fury,” the new DLC pack introduces two new exclusive vehicles, “Dominus” the muscle car and “Takumi” the Japanese street racer, plus several new Decals, Paint Types, Rocket Boosts, Wheels, PlayStation Trophies, and Steam Achievements.

In addition to the “Supersonic Fury” DLC Pack, Psyonix will also release a free game update that includes a Spectator Mode, allowing players to join live games and watch other people play in real time. The new “Utopia Coliseum” gameplay arena, more than 70 new Country Flags, numerous other customization items, and the new single, “Firework” from electronica group, Hollywood Principle, will also make it to the update.

Priced at $3.99 on both PlayStation 4 and Steam, the Rocket League “Supersonic Fury” DLC Pack will be available for purchase in August, with the “Utopia Coliseum” Free Update simultaneously releasing alongside it.

2K today announced 2K Pro-Am, a new mode for MyPLAYERs in NBA 2K16. Grab your friends, design your own logos, jerseys and arenas for full branding of your team. After your identity has been stamped, rise up the leaderboards with your team to compete against the best in the world in 5 on 5 matches on full-sized courts with NBA rules in a venue that supports 40 players playing simultaneously.

NBA 2K16 will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and PC on September 29th.

Team17 to Publish Yooka-Laylee

Team17 today announced its partnership with indie developer Playtonic Games to help publish Yooka-Laylee, a new 3D platformer from the creative talent behind Banjo-Kazooie.

Yooka-Laylee stars the charismatic new heroes Yooka and Laylee. Using an arsenal of special moves like Yooka’s tongue grapple and Laylee’s sonar blast, players will explore – and expand – 3D worlds filled with collectibles and secrets to discover.

Yooka-Laylee is planned for an October 2016 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.

Fairy Fencer F Coming to Steam on August 4th

Idea Factory International today announced that Fairy Fencer F is coming to PC via Steam on August 4th. Originally available on the PlayStation 3, this role-playing game is now getting the 1080p treatment. Two free DLCs will also be made available at launch – “Beginner’s Pack” and “Secrets of Shukesoo’s Tower Pack” – to aid you in your quest to save the world.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut Coming to Xbox One and PS4 on October 13th

Deep Silver and inXile today announced that the post-apocalyptic PC title, Wasteland 2 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 13th.

Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut takes last year’s PC release through a complete visual overhaul; it features a more sophisticated lighting system, upgraded environments and improved textures as well as brand new, higher quality character models. All major speaking parts and NPCs have also received new voice-overs, and weapon sounds have been revisited in order to provide more variety and punch. inXile has implemented additional gameplay advances such as improvements to combat encounters, additional passes to balancing, enhanced cut scenes plus all-new “Precision Strike” and “Perk & Traits” systems. Most importantly, the game’s UI and control scheme have been completely reworked and optimized for consoles.
