Psyonix has released its first paid DLC pack for the sports-action game, Rocket League. Dubbed “Supersonic Fury,” the new DLC introduces two new exclusive vehicles, “Dominus” the muscle car and “Takumi” the Japanese street racer, plus several new Decals, Paint Types, Rocket Boosts, Wheels, PlayStation Trophies, and Steam Achievements.
Psyonix has also released a free game update that includes the “Spectate” mode, allowing players to join live Private games to watch other people play. The new “Utopia Coliseum” gameplay arena, 70-plus Country Flags, numerous other customization items, and the new single, “Firework” from electronica group, Hollywood Principle, is also in the update.
GRIP Digital and Teotl Studios have released an 8-minute uninterrupted gameplay video introducing players to the environments of The Solus Project, the first-person single-player survival game headed to PC and as a console exclusive to Xbox One, via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program, early in 2016.
Unity Games announced the release of Wind-up Knight 2 for the Wii U. Originally developed by Robot Invader for Android and iOS, Wind-up Knight 2 has been updated and rebalanced for the console and is available now in the Nintendo eShop for $7.50.
2K revealed the second NBA 2K16 digital short, titled James Harden: Believe. Showcasing some of the first looks at NBA 2K16 gameplay, the video chronicles James Harden’s journey to stardom, beginning from his humble roots in Compton and featuring his return to Artesia High School. Narrated by Spike Lee, the montage of gameplay and true life footage showcases Harden’s journey from a beardless, standout player at Arizona State University to winning the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award on the Oklahoma City Thunder and becoming the face of the franchise for the Houston Rockets.
NBA 2K16 will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and PC on September 29th.
Eastasiasoft and SideQuest Studios announced that their upcoming role-playing game Rainbow Skies and their previous title Rainbow Moon are currently in development for the PlayStation 4.
Rainbow Skies will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in the second half of 2016, while the PlayStation 4 version of Rainbow Moon will launch sometime in 2016. Both titles will support Cross-Save functionality.
Electronic Arts announced NBA Live 16 is bringing basketball fans new ways to compete online with the introduction of Live Pro-Am, featuring two all-new online modes: Live Run and Summer Circuit. First off is Live Run, giving players an online pick-up game with up to nine friends on storied courts like Rucker Park, Venice Beach, Jordan Terminal 23 and more. Joining Live Run is the brand new Summer Circuit, an online co-op mode where players will travel across North America squaring off against NBA superstars on a journey to dominate the court. Live Pro-Am will be available to try for free starting September 15th via download on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
Alongside Live Pro-Am, starting September 15th fans can check out exhibition-style play in Tip Off mode with six NBA teams, and the Learn Live tutorials, consisting of drills to familiarize yourself with the game and basketball fundamentals. All this together in a free package will give basketball fans an opportunity to run with their friends and get a head start on the new season in advance of the launch of NBA Live 16 on September 29th.

Techland has released the reveal trailer for Dying Light: The Following – a story-based expansion set in a new area that’s as big as the original maps from Dying Light combined. Dying Light: The Following will see Kyle Crane travel to a hazardous outback ruled by mysterious and fanatical cultists whose beliefs have unnerving connections with the zombie outbreak.
To get close to the cult and unravel their secrets, players will need to earn the trust of the locals. Through various missions and tasks, players will be able to choose their own path for infiltrating the inner circles of the cultists. In order to succeed in this harsh countryside, players will also gain access to fully customizable and upgradable dirt buggies. With its own unique skill tree, players will be able to traverse the vast expanse of the Harran countryside in what is their deadliest weapon yet.
While a release date is still to be determined, Techland has confirmed that Dying Light: The Following will be priced at $14.99, while all Season Pass holders will receive the expansion completely free.
Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios announced Neverwinter: Strongholds – the seventh expansion for the action MMORPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons’ Forgotten Realms universe – is now available on PC. In the newest expansion, players join their guild to claim an abandoned keep from the wild and build it back into its former glory on the largest map in Neverwinter.
Telltale Games today announced that Tales from the Borderlands, Episode 4: Escape Plan Bravo will be available starting August 18th on PC from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, as well as the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. The episode will be available on August 19th on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
