Electronic Arts today announced that the demo for FIFA 16 is available to download for PC on Origin, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
FUT Draft, a brand new way for fans to test their team building skills and compete with some of the best football players in the world, is included in the demo. In this new mode, fans will choose from one of five formations, then a captain, and then go on to fill out the rest of their 23-man squad by selecting a player from a choice of five in each position. Once finished, they will compete single player or online in a single knockout string of four games to achieve rewards.
In Kick-off, fans can choose from eight club sides (FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Chelsea FC, Inter Milan, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid CF, River Plate and Seattle Sounders) or two Women’s National Teams (Germany and United States). The historic Santiago Bernabeu and two stadiums new to the franchise, BORUSSIA-PARK and CenturyLink Field will feature as official stadiums in the demo. Fans playing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC will get their first look at the new Bundesliga Broadcast Presentation when Borussia Dortmund plays Borussia Mönchengladbach at BORUSSIA-PARK. Rounding out the demo are FIFA Trainer, a new contextual training system, as well as six new skill games.
FIFA 16 will be available starting September 22nd.
XSEED Games today announced that its upcoming RPG for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, will launch with a special “Lionheart Edition” containing an art book featuring over 100 pages of art from the game as well as its sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, and a 1.5” pin displaying the emblem of the country of Erebonia, packaged with the game in a custom collectible clamshell-type box that will also be able to house the sequel when it releases in 2016 so that collectors can store the initial Cold Steel duology in a single package.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is scheduled to launch this holiday season. The Lionheart Edition has a SRP of $49.99 for each platform while the standard edition of the game will be available for $39.99 on both platforms.
Blowfish Studios today announced it will deliver the world’s first game which shares user-created content across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC when they release Gunscape, a first-person shooter and world building hybrid, in January.
The PC and Xbox One releases were originally scheduled for September, but will now launch simultaneously with PlayStation 4 and Wii U to achieve this cross-platform goal.
A new ongoing configuration of the Wii U console that includes a pre-installed version of the Mario Kart 8 game as well as a Nintendo eShop download card for the first two Mario Kart 8 DLC packs will hit retail stores across the country in mid-September. Indie developer Asteroid Base today announced that its 1-2 player action co-op game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is now available for $14.99 on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program and PC via Steam.
1337 & Senri and publishing partner Tilting Point have released the adventure platformer Leo’s Fortune – HD Edition for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is available now as a digital title through PlayStation Store and Stea for $6.99. It will come to Xbox One via the Xbox Games Store on September 11th.
Indie studio Hammerfall Publishing today announced that Warhammer 40,000: Regicide, the game that mixes modern tactical combat with classic chess strategy and Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 Universe, has left Early Access and has officially launched via Steam.
The full game includes new factions for Space Marines and Orks, Acts II and III of the campaign — The Angels of Death, written by author Ross Watson — and new gameplay features, enhancements and refinements.
