Take On Mars is Out Now

Graduating from Steam Early Access, Bohemia Interactive today announced the official release of their new PC game, Take On Mars. The milestone is celebrated with a launch trailer, highlighting the many ‘benefits’ of playing Take On Mars over alternative options of space exploration.

Take On Mars places you right in the middle of mankind’s most exciting undertaking. Start out in the seat of a rover operator, finish as the first human to have ever set foot on Mars. With a scientific arsenal at your disposal, you will pioneer the exploration, and colonization, of the Red Planet.

Alone With You Launches on Steam

The sci-fi, narrative-driven adventure game Alone With You from Benjamin Rivers, developer of indie horror Home, releases on PC via Steam today for $9.99 USD. Available as either a bundle with the game’s soundtrack or as a standalone title, for the next week players can purchase Alone With You for a 15% discount.

Released last year on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Alone With You has players take on the role of the sole survivor of a doomed space colony, trying to discover the fates of more than two-dozen colonists and escape the lonely planet before it implodes. Accompanied by the colony’s troubled AI and holographic simulations of the deceased colonists, players reveal clues, solve puzzles and forge relationships with self-aware artificial intelligence to uncover the secrets of their interwoven lives.

Blood Bowl 2: Legendary Edition Announced

Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio will release Blood Bowl 2: Legendary Edition later this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The Legendary Edition will offer all the official races from the Blood Bowl board game, including the Goblins, as well as a brand new race, the Kislev Circus and their Tame Bears. These races are coming along with their Star Players and a new Khemri stadium.

Blood Bowl 2: Legendary Edition also contains new game modes, such as a brand new Solo Career Mode and the new Challenge mode, as well as many new tools and options to enrich the multiplayer experience. Blood Bowl 2: Legendary Edition will be available as a stand-alone game for newcomers, and as an expansion for all Blood Bowl 2 players.

Ubisoft today confirmed in its third-quarter 2016 to 2017 sales report that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed from its previously planned Q1 2017 release window to fiscal 2017 to 2018, which can be anytime between April 1st, 2017 and March 31st, 2018.

Focus Home and Spiders Reveal New RPG, GreedFall

GreedFall is the latest RPG from Spiders, currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Revealed at “le What’s Next de Focus” event last week, Focus Home today unveiled the first teaser trailer, hinting at the 17th century setting of the game and its ambiance embedded in magic. Greedfall aims for a unique visual identity, inspired by Baroque art from 17th Century Europe, depicting grandiose sceneries in muted warm colors and dark undertones.

Explore a new world as you set foot – alongside many other settlers, mercenaries and treasure hunters – on a remote island seeping with magic, rumored to be filled with riches and lost secrets. A grand journey filled with mystery follows, as you find yourself in the middle of ever-increasing tensions between the invading settlers and the locals, protected by supernatural beings, manifestation of the island’s earthly magic.

GreedFall is planned for release in 2018.

GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City Now Playable on Xbox One

Rockstar Games today announced that Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City are now all playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility.

All versions of the game, including Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, are compatible on Xbox One. Digital game owners have instant access on Xbox One, so they can download Grand Theft Auto IV directly from the “Ready to Install” section of their Xbox One and play at will. Physical game owners can just insert the Xbox 360 game disc into their Xbox One and download the game. Your original game saves will also transfer if you have saved your game to the Cloud Saved Games feature on Xbox 360.

Anyone who doesn’t already have Grand Theft Auto IV can get it from the Xbox Store on Xbox One, along with The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

NBA and Take-Two to Launch NBA 2K eLeague

The National Basketball Association and Take-Two Interactive today announced plans to launch the NBA 2K eLeague, a new professional competitive gaming league that will bring together the best basketball gamers in the world. This marks the first official eSports league operated by a U.S. professional sports league.

Set to debut in 2018, this competitive gaming league will consist of teams operated by actual NBA franchises. The founding teams, each composed of five professional eSports players who will play the game as user-created avatars, will be announced in the coming months. The NBA 2K eLeague will follow a professional sports league format: competing head-to-head throughout a regular season, participating in a bracketed playoff system, and concluding with a championship matchup.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Coming to Retail, Episode 3 Out Next Month

Telltale Games today announced that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier will be available on a special season pass disc at retail beginning February 28th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The season pass includes the two-part premiere episodes, and grants access to all subsequent episodes in the five episode season for download as they become available.

In addition, Telltale Games confirmed that Episode 3: ‘Above the Law’ is set to debut later this month. Look for more details on the episode in the coming weeks.

Torment: Tides of Numenera – Story Trailer

inXile Entertainment and Techland Publishing revealed today the latest trailer for their upcoming science-fantasy RPG Torment: Tides of Numenera, launching on February 28th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This cinematic story trailer recounts the lore leading up to the very moment that players begin their odyssey as the Last Castoff – the flesh-and-blood by-product of a megalomaniacal deity known as the Changing God.

A billion years in the future a man discovered a way to cheat death. A seeker of knowledge and wisdom, his ultimate goal was to leave an unforgettable mark on the world. In his quest for everlasting legacy, he discovered ancient technology – the Numenera – that allowed him to transfer his consciousness to a body of his own design. Thus he became known as the Changing God.
