Need for Speed Payback – Story Trailer

Electronic Arts today released the official story trailer for Need for Speed Payback. Set in the underworld of Fortune Valley, you and your crew are reunited by a search for vengeance against The House.

Play a variety of challenges and events as Tyler, Mac, and Jess. Each driver must take on races, missions, and challenges to earn the respect of the Valley’s underground and compete in the ultimate race to finally take down The House.

Need for Speed Payback will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Origin on November 10th.

Snowfall and More Coming to Cities: Skylines for Console

Paradox today announced an entire season’s worth of expansions and DLC packs coming to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, starting with the upcoming release of the Snowfall expansion on November 14th. On that same day, there’s also going to be an all-in-one Season Pass available for both platforms, along with a comprehensive “Cities: Skylines – Premium Edition” for consoles, which will include the base game (and After Dark, which is included already) plus all seven DLC coming in the Season Pass.

Those seven DLC have been confirmed as of today — they are:

  • Snowfall (full expansion)
  • Natural Disasters (full expansion)
  • Mass Transit (full expansion)
  • High Tech Buildings (content creator pack)
  • Art Deco (content creator pack)
  • Relaxation Station (radio station DLC)
  • Rock City Radio (radio station DLC)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Story Trailer, Season Pass Details

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released a new trailer for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, diving deeper into the original branching storyline featured in this all-new LEGO adventure. Recently debuted at New York Comic Con, the video stars Cosmo the Spacedog – telepathic Soviet cosmonaut, Knowhere’s chief of security and ally to the Guardians of the Galaxy – who is tasked with alerting and assembling an elite team of Super Heroes to take on the time-travelling Super Villain, Kang the Conqueror.

Additional New York Comic Con announcements included:

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Season Pass details were revealed and will feature six Level Packs and four Character Packs. The Level Packs will feature content inspired by a number of upcoming Marvel films and television series, including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Cloak & Dagger and The Runaways. The Character Packs, including Agents of Atlas, Champions, Out of Time and Classic Guardians of the Galaxy, will add more than 60 new characters to the main game’s roster of over 200 Super Heroes and Super Villains.

Actor Peter Serafinowicz (The Tick) was confirmed as the voice of Kang the Conqueror, the time-travelling Super Villain in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. Various new characters were also revealed, including Grandmaster (Thor: Ragnarok), Valkyrie (Thor: Ragnarok), Arizona Annie, Blade, Captain Avalon, Charlie-27, Chipmunk Hunk, Dormammu, Ghost Rider & Hell Cycle, Hellcow, Hobgoblin, Hulk 2099, Koi Boi, Lady Spider, Luke Cage, Misty Knight, Morbius, Phantom Rider, Red Wolf, Living Totem, Squirrel Girl, Super Adaptoid and Ursa Major.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be available starting November 14th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Focus Home Interactive and Saber Interactive have released the first gameplay video of Spintires: MudRunner. The ultimate edition of the off-road vehicle simulation, Spintires: MudRunner will be available on PC, and for the first time on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on October 31st.

Knight Terrors Coming to Switch on October 24th

Nicalis today announced that the horror-themed arcade-style side-scroller Knight Terrors will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop on October 24th.

Knight Terrors depicts the horrifying adventures of a mysterious suit of armor known only as “The Knight.” Armed with a mighty sword and equipped with blood-red wings that allow flight, the Knight desperately races through the countryside in the darkest of the night, never stopping for any respite or consideration. He must face and vanquish a never-ending onslaught of bloodthirsty ghouls, flaming skulls and unspeakable horrors while jumping over spiked pits and flying through small gaps. If he takes three hits or allows three enemies to pass, it’s “Game Over.”

To celebrate the upcoming launch of The Evil Within 2 this Friday the 13th, Bethesda Softworks have released the official launch trailer.

In The Evil Within 2, Sebastian Castellanos must once again confront unspeakable horrors within the nightmare born from the infamous STEM. This time, however, Sebastian’s mission is personal: He’s searching for his daughter Lily, who he thought he had lost many years ago, and it’s now a race against time as the world crumbles around him. Sebastian must rescue Lily before everything falls apart and they are both lost in STEM.

What is Raiders of the Broken Planet?

Syndrome Out Now on PS4 and PC

Bigmoon Entertainment and Camel 101 announced today that Syndrome, their space survival horror title, is now available on PlayStation 4 and PC with a game mode compatible for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Syndrome traps players aboard a desolate scientific spaceship full of monstrosities creeping around every corner, with only stealth and evasion to trust while they unravel the mystery surrounding the deaths of fellow crewmen.

Ubisoft Details Assassin’s Creed Origins Post-Launch Content

Ubisoft today revealed details of Assassin’s Creed Origins post-launch content, including the season pass and free add-on content available to all players. Players will be able to continue exploring Ancient Egypt thanks to a variety of post launch content including several hours of new storyline expansions and quests, timed events and customization items.

The Assassin’s Creed Origins Season Pass includes:

  • DLC 1 – The Hidden Ones: This story-driven expansion builds upon the growth of the Brotherhood, taking players years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins as they clash with an occupying Roman force in a new region. This expansion will extend the level cap. Available in January, 2018.
  • DLC 2 – The Curse of the Pharaohs: In this story-driven expansion focusing on Egyptian mythology, players will fight against undead pharaohs and explore a new, mystical realm. During their journey, players will encounter famed Egyptian beasts such as Anubis warriors, scorpios and more, as they investigate the cause of the curse that has brought the dead pharaohs back to life. The Curse of the Pharaohs will increase the level cap further and introduce more new Abilities. Available in March, 2018.
  • The Roman Centurion and Horus Packs: Two exclusive add-on packs including a new outfit, weapons, shield and mount. Available in November, 2017.
  • A package of 500 Helix Credits: Available at the launch of the game.
  • An exclusive rare weapon, the Calamity Blade: Available at the launch of the game.

The season pass is included in the Assassin’s Creed Origins Gold Edition and is also available for purchase separately.

On top of that, a lineup of free content filled with new challenges and gameplay opportunities will be available for all players at or after the launch of the game, including:

  • The Trials of the Gods: Boss battles against Egyptian gods that take place during special timed events, victorious players will receive prestigious rewards. The first Trial of the Gods event will be available 15 days after the launch of the game.
  • The Nomad’s Bazaar: A wandering merchant gives players daily quests to complete in order to earn mysterious exotic rewards. Available at the launch of the game.
  • Photo Mode: Players will be able to capture and share the beauty of the Egyptian landscape and indulge their inner wildlife photographer while discovering in-game pictures taken by other players. Available at the launch of the game.
  • Horde Mode: Players will fight endless waves of enemies in the Gladiator Arena. They will be able to compare their scores with their friends and challenge them asynchronously. Available in early 2018.
  • Discovery Tour: This new educational mode turns the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins into a combat-free living museum and will give everyone the opportunity to learn more about Ancient Egypt through guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. Available early 2018.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will be available on October 27th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 4 and PC, and on Xbox One at its launch on November 7th.

This fall, fans can enter a PIN found in specially marked packages of Post cereals for a chance to win one of 60 Nintendo Switch Prize Packs, consisting of a Nintendo Switch and Super Mario Odyssey.

This holiday, PINs can be found inside 1 million specially-marked Post cereal boxes, including Honey Bunches of Oats, Honeycomb, Sugar Crisp, Alpha-Bits and Shreddies.
