Sega today announced an exclusive partnership with Nintendo for the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The new agreement will make Nintendo consoles the number one destination for Sonic gaming over the next three titles with more details of the individual games being revealed in the coming weeks.

EA Sports and Amazon today announced the Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition. Every copy of this limited-edition will come with Madden NFL 25 plus exclusive offers for DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket.

Offers include:

• Fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service will receive a promo code entitling them to $10 off per month for their first year of service and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge.

Deep Silver and Rubicon today announced Narco Terror, a twin-stick shooter coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC this summer.

2K and Firaxis Games today revealed two of the new civilizations which are included as part of Civilization V: Brave New World, the second expansion for Civilization V coming July 9th.

Indonesia, led by the 14th Century Prime Minister of the Majapahit Empire of Indonesia, Gajah Mada, are granted unique bonuses for establishing a seafaring empire, as their first three cities formed on new continents are granted two unique luxury resources via their Spice Islanders ability. Their unique replacement for the swordsman is the Kris Swordsman, which gains a random upgrade after the first round of combat. Finally, their unique building, the Candi replaces the Garden, and awards a faith bonus.

Morocco, and their leader Ahmad al-Mansur, are well equipped to take advantage of the new trading route mechanics in the expansion, as they gain powerful bonuses to gold and culture for every external trade route via their Gateway to Africa ability. Their unique Berber Cavalry unit replaces standard cavalry and gains combat bonuses in home territory and on desert tiles. Also taking advantage of desert terrain is their unique improvement, the Kasbah, which improves desert tiles with added defense, food, production and gold.

Sega today revealed that Total War: Rome II is already the fastest pre-ordered Total War game to date, with over six times the number of gamers ordering the title in its first official week as did for previous title Total War: Shogun 2. The Collector’s Edition has also pre-ordered well, with over half the available copies already sold out.

Pre-ordering Total War: Rome II grants the first DLC, The Greek States Culture Pack, free on the day of release, September 3rd.

Sony Computer Entertainment has released a new trailer for Killzone: Mercenary. The PlayStation Vita exclusive will be available on September 10th.

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. The Nintendo 3DS remake will be available on May 26th.

Konami today announced Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will be available on July 9th for $49.99.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, this PlayStation 3 exclusive package will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Ecition (which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition and two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels which will be released for the first time in North America. In addition, the collection will include an all-new 100 page art book highlighting marketing art from across the globe, spanning the 25 year history of the franchise.

Digital Leisure today announced that Don Bluth’s arcade classic, Dragon’s Lair is now available for the PC on Steam. Dragon’s Lair is available for 10% off during it’s launch week.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new Champion Profile videos for Infinite Crisis, giving fans an in-depth look at Gaslight Joker.

Infinite Crisis is a free-to-play, multiplayer online battle arena game scheduled for release on PC in 2013.
