Monster Hunter: World PS4 Beta for PS+ Users Starts Tomorrow

The beta for Monster Hunter: World will be available to play on PlayStation 4 for PlayStation Plus users starting Saturday, December 9th through December 12th (you can pre-load now). By participating in the beta, players can carry over special bonuses to the final retail version of Monster Hunter: World when it releases on January 26th.

Sea of Thieves Sets Sail on March 20th

At The Game Awards, Microsoft Game Studios announced that Sea of Thieves, Rare’s shared world pirate adventure, will launch for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on March 20th.

Pirates who pre-order digitally or at retail will receive exclusive access to a pre-release closed beta. In addition, players will kick off their sartorial adventures in style in the form of the Black Dog Pack, offering unique clothing and items.

Bandai Namco Announces Soulcalibur VI

Bandai Namco today announced Soulcalibur VI for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Enter into a new chapter of weapons-based 1 vs 1 fighting with returning fan-favorite characters and all-new gameplay systems.

Soulcalibur VI retains the series’ signature 8-Way Run movement system, providing super smooth 3D movement, while integrating new gameplay systems such as the Reversal Edge. Reversal Edge enables characters to clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent’s actions. Challenge the computer AI, compete against friends, or challenge fighters from around the world in high-speed dynamic battles.

Taking place in the 16th century, revisit the events of the original Soulcalibur to uncover hidden truths with a diverse lineup of new and returning characters with their unique fighting styles including series mainstays; Mitsurugi and Sophitia.

Soulcalibur VI will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2018.

Dying Light: Bad Blood Multiplayer Expansion Coming in 2018

Techland have announced the first details for Dying Light: Bad Blood, an all-new multiplayer expansion that combines Dying Light’s zombie survival gameplay with PvP action inspired by the competitive Battle Royale genre.

Dying Light: Bad Blood thrusts seven players in the infested city of Harran with the goal of collecting biosamples from the infected. Players can cooperate to overcome the city’s undead threats or betray each other to reap the biggest rewards. Dying Light: Bad Blood will have a closed beta test on Steam later this month with a formal release in Q1 2018.

Fortnite Battle Royale Limited Time “50 Versus 50″ Mode Available Now

Last night at the Game Awards, Epic Games announced the availability of a new, limited time “50 versus 50″ game mode for Fortnite Battle Royale. This limited time mode pits two teams of 50 against one another in a massive, last-team standing battle.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available now for free on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The limited time 50 versus 50 mode will be available through Sunday, December 17th, with additional unique game modes and content planned for the future.

Romancing SaGa 2 Remastered for Consoles, Handheld and PC

Square Enix today announced that Romancing SaGa 2 will come digitally to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC on December 15th. Originally released in 1993, Romancing SaGa 2 has players leading the Varennes Empire in battle against the Seven Heroes.

Enhanced features include:

  • Updated graphics and audio;
  • New character classes provide added depth and tactical possibilities to gameplay;
  • New dungeon provides greater challenges;
  • “New Game+” feature carries over useful character attributes and items into a new game, enabling players to obtain missed items, or save previously sacrificed lands and companions.
