The Division Drives March 2016 Video Game Sales Results

The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of March. While hardware sales were down year-over-year in March by 19%, software sales were up 8%. Overall, total industry sales were relatively flat at $964.1 million. Once again, PlayStation 4 was the top-selling hardware platform and the software sales leader in March.

The top selling games of March were as follows:

1. Tom Clancy’s The Division
2. Far Cry: Primal
3. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
4. Grand Theft Auto V
5. UFC 2
6. MLB 16: The Show
7. Pokken Tournament
8. NBA 2K16
9. Call of Duty: Black Ops III
10. Minecraft
