Microsoft today announced the Xbox Series S console, launching November 10th with a SRP of $299 USD / $379 CDN. Featuring a compact new design in Robot White, the all-digital Xbox Series S is the smallest Xbox ever created. Xbox Series S includes Microsoft’s new Xbox Wireless Controller, also in Robot White. This controller will also be available as a standalone purchase this holiday.

Xbox Series S delivers the same next generation speed and performance that define Xbox Series X. It is similar in CPU and has the identical I/O performance as Xbox Series X, making it easier for developers to deliver the same great performance, while rendering at a lower resolution. Xbox Series S delivers 4x the processing power of an Xbox One console and supports experiences up to 120fps, with support for hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing and Variable Rate Shading. In addition, Xbox Series S includes 512GB of custom SSD storage and is powered by the Xbox Velocity Architecture, delivering more than 40x the I/O bandwidth of an Xbox One resulting in faster loading times, steadier frame rates and Quick Resume for multiple titles.

Graven, the dark-fantasy action-adventure FPS co-published by 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment with development by Slipgate Ironworks, launches on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2021.

Revealed at Realms Deep 2020, Graven delves into a medieval world of deities and monstrosities as a disgraced Priest of the Orthogonal Order. When a heretical member of the Order sacrifices the Priest’s adoptive daughter, the Priest lethally retaliates in a bout of righteous fury. Tried and found guilty by his brothers and now exiled to the burning sands, he closes his eyes for one last prayer, for peace. The Creator speaks to him directly: “You will have to earn your peace.”

Bloober Team today announced their collaboration with voice actor Troy Baker, singer Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, alongside composer Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame, for The Medium, the third-person psychological horror game coming to Xbox Series X and PC via Steam in Holiday 2020. Troy Baker will voice The Maw, the main spirit world entity and antagonist in The Medium. Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, having worked together with game composer Akira Yamaoka on the Silent Hill series, will be providing her vocals for the original soundtrack.

In addition to today’s announcement of the talent collaboration, creators from The Medium development team have shared the first episode of the Behind the Scenes series for the game. This episode offers a deeper look at several key insights about the game such as the main theme – how perspective changes your perception. Furthermore, Bloober Team discusses what it means to play as a medium through the main character Marianne, who can live and interact between two worlds, the real and spirit, and what exactly is the Spirit World and what their inspirations are for it in The Medium.
