Nintendo of America’s Reggie Fils-Aime to Retire

After more than 15 years at Nintendo of America, and nearly 13 as its President and COO, Reggie Fils-Aime will retire. His last day with Nintendo will be April 15th. Doug Bowser, NOA’s current Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will then succeed Reggie as President of Nintendo of America.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth Coming to 3DS on June 4th

Atlus today announced that Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will launch for the Nintendo 3DS on June 4th. The sequel to the first Persona entry to appear on Nintendo’s portable platform, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth features the return of the casts of Persona 3 and Persona 4, along with the arrival of characters from Persona 3 Portable and Persona 5.

Atlus also announced the Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth “Showtime” Premium Edition (MSRP $69.99 USD). Aside from a Nintendo 3DS copy of the game, this special set includes a 5″ Koromaru Plush, an art book, a deck of playing cards, a set of 4 buttons, and a collectible outer box.

Classic Mario, Zelda and Star Fox Games for 3DS Join Nintendo Selects

Starting on February 4th, three Nintendo 3DS games starring iconic characters – Super Mario Maker, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D and Star Fox 64 3D – are joining the Nintendo Selects library. Nintendo Selects is a collection of games available at a SRP of $19.99 each.

Nintendo today announced that New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey are both now available for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, respectively.

New Handcrafted Yoshi and Kirby Games Launching in March

If you’re a fan of Yoshi and Kirby you are going to love the month of March. That’s because two big Nintendo adventures are launching that month – each featuring a handcrafted style, platforming gameplay and beloved Nintendo characters.

Yoshi’s Crafted World, a new adventure and the first game starring Yoshi for Nintendo Switch, launches exclusively for the system on March 29th, while Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn launches for the Nintendo 3DS on March 8th.

Etrian Odyssey Nexus Coming February 5th

Etrian Odyssey Nexus launches for Nintendo 3DS on February 5th. To commemorate the final Etrian installment on 3DS, Atlus also announced the Etrian Odyssey Nexus Launch Edition. All pre-order and first-run copies of the game will come with an exclusive art book featuring the character art of Yuji Himukai and monster art of Shin Nagasawa, a pin featuring Vivivan, the innkeeper in Nexus, and the game itself – all in a special collector’s box.

New Animal Crossing and Luigi’s Mansion Coming to Nintendo Switch

In a new Nintendo Direct video presentation, Nintendo revealed that new games in two major Nintendo series are currently in development for the Nintendo Switch. Animal Crossing for Nintendo Switch (working title), a new main game in the Animal Crossing series, and Luigi’s Mansion 3 (working title), will both come exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2019. The video presentation also debuted a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch hardware and software bundle.

The Nintendo Direct revealed a lineup of games headed to Nintendo Switch, including a collection of classic Final Fantasy games, an HD remake of the Katamari Damacy game and adaptations of some card and board games like Carcassonne and Pandemic. The Nintendo Direct also unveiled new details for Nintendo Switch Online, highlighted a selection of Nintendo 3DS games and revealed more details about previously announced Nintendo Switch games like Yoshi’s Crafted World, Daemon X Machina and Mega Man 11.

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is Now Available

Nintendo today announced Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is now available in stores and in Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS. In these new games in the series, you can actually play as the Yo-kai themselves for the first time.

Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is launching with two versions: Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps and Yo-Kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad. In both versions of the game, you can team up with other players who also have the game to take down and befriend Yo-kai, battle Big Bosses and tackle missions.

New Nintendo Bundles, Games, Controllers Coming this Holiday

Starting in September, Nintendo is launching a series of bundles, controllers and “starter pack” versions of games for Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS. Some of the new Nintendo products that will launch between September and this holiday season include:

On September 28th, a New Nintendo 2DS XL system in a new purple + silver color with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed will be available at a SRP of $149.99 USD. Both of the currently available New Nintendo 2DS XL color schemes (black + turquoise and white + orange) will also be changed to bundles with the Mario Kart 7 game pre-installed on the same day.
Also on September 28th, the “starter pack” versions of three top-rated Nintendo Switch games will launch in stores. These versions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2 and Super Mario Odyssey will launch with the game and a strategy guide at a SRP of $59.99 USD each.
A bundle featuring a new Nintendo Switch Pro Controller adorned with the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate logo, a steel case and the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game launches on December 7th at a SRP of $139.99 USD. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will also launch as a standalone product on the same day at a SRP of $74.99 USD.
