Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, an updated edition of Ghost of Tsushima with PlayStation 5 upgrades and a newly announced Iki Island expansion, will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 20th.

Update 6 for DOOM Eternal is available today, highlighted by the arrival of a free next-gen console upgrade for all current owners of DOOM Eternal.
This next gen update includes improved visuals, increased performance, support for ray tracing, 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, and a new 120 FPS mode for console players. Update 6 also includes the new Taras Nabad Master Level as well as a new Battlemode arena, free for all players.
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced today that they have completed the acquisition of Housemarque, a leading game developer and long-time partner of SIE. Recognized for its extensive experience in the arcade-shooter genre as well as strong creative and technical capabilities, Housemarque has developed eight titles exclusive to PlayStation consoles including Returnal, Nex Machina and Alienation. Based in Helsinki, Finland, Housemarque will join the global development operation of PlayStation Studios and will be the 13th studio to join the PlayStation Studios family.
NIS America today announced that Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is out now on Nintendo Switch. A free demo is available for download on the Nintendo eShop and carries over save data into the full game. A myriad of content including four extra character stories (Adell, Rozalin, Laharl, and Asagi) and the Japanese Hololive DLC are also available now.
Today, Catherine Gluckstein, VP and Head of Product, Xbox Cloud Gaming at Microsoft, announced that starting today Xbox Cloud Gaming is available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members with Windows 10 PCs and Apple phones and tablets, via browser, across 22 countries. Ultimate members can go to Xbox.com/play on Microsoft Edge, Chrome or Safari on a PC or mobile device to start over 100 games from the Xbox Game Pass library.
Additionally, Microsoft are making improvements to the cloud gaming experience. They also announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming is now powered by custom Xbox Series X hardware, enabling more gamers to experience faster load times, improved frame rates, and a new generation of gaming. To ensure the lowest latency, highest quality experience across the broadest set of devices, Xbox Cloud Gaming will be streaming at 1080p and up to 60fps.
On June 29th, the vengeful Kazuya Mishima from the Tekken fighting game series joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch as part of the Challenger Pack 10 DLC, which also includes a new stage and a selection of music tracks from the Tekken franchise. In a video hosted by Masahiro Sakurai, the Super Smash Bros. series director provided a deep dive into the new fighter’s move set, as well as a detailed look at the new Mishima Dojo stage.
Today, EA and Velan Studios shared a look at what’s ahead for its dodgeball-inspired title, Knockout City, with a roadmap detailing the content players can expect from now through the end of the year.
Starting July 27th, Knockout City Season 2 will go live, featuring a new map, a new Special Ball, three Special Events, new Season Contracts, five new Playlists and the introduction of a new Daily Login Bonus – a random reward players receive for every day they play. Owlcat Games and Koch Media announced today that the classic isometric RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will launch on consoles later this year with physical console versions published on Koch’s newly revealed Prime Matter label. Today’s announcement coincides with the unveiling of more details on Drezen, a sprawling fortress with a pivotal role in the upcoming Pathfinder: Wrath of Righteous campaign, in a new developer diary video.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has kicked off a free Trial Version for Nintendo Switch players. Progress made during the Trial Version is saved can be transferred to the full game for those who purchase Monster Hunter Stores 2: Wings of Ruin. PC players can experience the free Trial Version when the game launches on July 9th.
