GO Review: Caesars Palace 2000 (c) Interplay
- Jove
Welcome to Las Vegas, Nevada, home of the world famous Caesars Palace. Grab your free drink and ante up because its
time to do a little gambling, Caesar style... or not. Here's a little blurb from our review:
"For starters, the menu system is absolutely horrendous. There is no mouse support in Caesars Palace 2000 so
you'll be manoeuvring strictly with your keyboard. While there are hot keys for certain functions, there's also a
lack of hot keys for others, which is sure to cause a few temper tantrums during play. You'll find yourself reverting
to the menu so often that it completely destroys the flow of the game."

GO Review: Star Trek ConQuest Online (c) Activision
- Jimmy Clydesdale
Have you ever dreamed of being the almighty Q? Your chance has arrived with Activision's conversion of this sci-fi
collectible card game. Here's a little blurb from our review:
"When you purchase Star Trek: Conquest Online, you'll receive the CD and an access code
to get your online starter pack of virtual cards/pieces. If you wish to increase your collection of cards, you'll have
to spend more money for each new pack of 50 cards you wish to receive. The result is a game that can become
extremely expensive if you desire to become a dominant online player. Of course, nobody is forcing you to
purchase more than the starter pack, but playing online will become a challenge and players will be at a
disadvantage if all they have in their possession is the starter pack."
Be sure to check out the rest of our Star Trek: ConQuest Online review including a booster pack full of visuals. Enjoy!

Soldier Weapon Details
- Jimmy Clydesdale
SouthPeak Interactive
released weapon details for their upcoming 3D action title, Soldier. Soldier will feature two weapon types, Primary
and Secondary. Primary weapons are weapons like guns. Secondary weapons are large, explosive rounds like
grenades, many of which can be used via some type of launcher. There will be four primary weapon types in the game:
Machine guns, Shotguns, Plasma and Flame. Each weapon class has four levels. Power-ups are different colors for different
classes. The colors are: green for machine guns, yellow for shotguns, blue for plasma and red for flame. Levels are
gathered simply by picking up a powerup. There will be approximately 16 primary weapons available in Soldier.
Secondary Weapons work differently, in that you may only carry one Secondary weapon at a time. The last Secondary you
picked up is the one you carry until you walk over a different Secondary Weapon. Every time you walk over a different
Secondary Weapon you will lose whatever rounds you had of the Secondary you were carrying. When you walk over
the same Secondary Weapon power-up as you currently have you will accumulate rounds until you reach the maximum for
that weapon. Secondary weapons include the Rocket Launcher, Cluster Grenade Launcher, Drunken Rocket Launcher and the
Tactical Strike Launcher.
Soldier is a third-person shooter based on the motion picture of the same name. In the game, players must stave off
Government Forces and escape the planet using their ship - much like the movie. Look for it in late August.

GO Review: Dukes of Hazzard
- Jove
Oh my a new review! It's too bad that Dukes of Hazzard can't even live up to the low expectations of the TV show. Here's a blurb:
"As one who used to be on the outside looking in, I realize that the life of a game reviewer looks pretty glamorous. I get to play all the newest games, I get to schmooze with some of the great game players and makers in the country, and oh the groupies - they all look like the lesbian love-children of Angelina Jolie and Lara Croft. But there are downsides. Great, bleak, cesspool-ridden downsides with festering pustules of maggot infested? well, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me start with the review of The Dukes of Hazzard - Racing for Home. The festering pustules will become obvious all on their own. But first, a song (inexplicably sung to the theme from the Beverly Hillbillies):
"

Summer, Summertime!
- Jimmy Clydesdale
We've received several emails over the last week, or so, and I'm sure there are many others out there wondering why
Game Over Online hasn't been updated much in the last few weeks. The answer is this: It's Summer! That's probably not
the greatest explanation, but many of the staff members have been on holidays recently, not to mention other minor issues
that have arised over the past month. The bottom line, people are returning from their trips with a tan and more
importantly, things will be returning back to normal here at Game Over. Thanks to everybody for sending in their concerns
and good words about the site, we appreciate them all and we hope you're enjoying your summer!
