R.I.P for X-COM: Genesis?
- Seth Gecko
Exactly one week ago today, January 17th, Chapel Hill closed it's doors, forever. Chapel Hill was
home of the X-COM: Genesis team, a team that was part of
Hasbro Interactive's
job cut announcement back in December. Although Hasbro Interactive has not confirmed rumors, it's believed that
X-COM: Genesis might never come to fruition.
X-COM: Genesis was to be the sixth in the acclaimed X-COM series. It was said that Genesis would mark the return
to the turn-based strategy style that was present in the earlier X-COM titles. While the status of Genesis remains
unknown, X-COM: Alliance, the fifth game in the series, continues on in development. Is Genesis really dead? If so,
these screenshots we managed to find may be the last memories of this game.
