2K Sports has released its fifth Developer Insight, “MyTEAM”, for NBA 2K13. In MyTEAM mode, collect players, uniforms, arenas and boosts, then take your team online to play against other players’ MyTEAMs. Build up your MyTEAM to earn the #1 seed and win the ultimate prize player – Michael Jordan. NBA 2K13 will be available on October 2nd.

Two New Match Types in WWE ’13

As the October 30th release of WWE’ 13 draws closer, THQ announced two new match types being included with this year’s release. Returning to the franchise will be the ability to play “I Quit” matches and hold “King Of The Ring” tournaments.

Dogfight 1942 Lands on Steam, New DLC on XBLA

City Interactive today announced its aerial combat game, Dogfight 1942, is now available for PC via Steam for $14.99.

In addition, City Interactive also launched their second DLC installment, Dogfight 1942: Fire Over Africa on Xbox Live Arcade. Fans of the game are presented with the challenge of facing the infamous General Rommel in a clash with his forces above Tobruk. The all-out battle in the sky marks one of the most pivotal aerial skirmishes on the African front – the Battle of El Alamein.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory Announced

NIS America today revealed plans to publish the third installment of the PlayStation 3 exclusive series, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, in Spring 2013. Neptune reprises her role as the self-aware main character and meets characters new and old after getting transported back to the ’80s version of Gamindustri.

    Several years after preventing Arfoire’s revival, Gamindustri has remained at peace without any major issues. The CPUs and their younger sisters have been enjoying their quiet lives for a while… Then one day, the CPU of Planeptune—Neptune is sent to another dimension. This new dimension feels very much like her own…except it has only progressed to the Gamindustri of the 1980s. In this dimension, a group of villains calling themselves the “Seven Sages” are trying to create a world without CPUs. With help from her new friends, including that dimension’s CPU of Planeptune—Plutia—Neptune begins her quest to protect a totally different Gamindustri in her brand-new adventure.

MoH: Warfighter MP Beta Coming to 360 in October

Danger Close Games today announced that it is offering players an open multiplayer beta worldwide for Medal of Honor Warfighter. In this multiplayer design, soldiers from 10 different nations go head-to-head to see who is top dog. Gamers can choose from among 12 Tier 1 units including the British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, Korean UDT and U.S. Navy SEAL as they represent their Special Forces online.

Fans who join the battle can help unlock the new Linkin Park “Castle of Glass” music video. EA will release the video five days after the beta launches but gamers can unlock it earlier by downloading the beta and hitting the three million download mark. Gamers that download the beta will also be awarded with 60 minutes of Double XP when the full game launches.

The Medal of Honor Warfighter beta will feature a brand new multiplayer mode called HotSpot, where players attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia. Inspired by real life operations, players team-up in pairs using the game’s co-op Fireteam system for a competitive advantage on the battlefield. The Medal of Honor Warfighter multiplayer beta will be available for a limited time in early October exclusively for Xbox 360.

Kalypso Media Digital today announced the release of Anna, the horror adventure game from developers Dreampainters. Anna is available to purchase now for PC through Kalypso’s digital distribution partners for $9.99. To celebrate the launch of Anna, Kalypso Media Digital has released a new trailer showing some of the locations and puzzles you can expect to find on your quest through the human psyche.

Dragon’s Dogma DLC Update

Capcom today confirmed that it will be making new modes and content available in the coming months for Dragon’s Dogma.

Available free of charge and scheduled for release before the end of the year, players will be able to put their skills to the test with the introduction of Speedrun and Hard modes. Speedrun will challenge players to clear the game as quickly as possible with in-game equipment awarded for those who clock specific times; while Hard Mode turns up the difficulty with enemies that are tougher to defeat, but with the reward of further equipment.

Looking ahead to 2013, Capcom will release Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen and will be sharing more details of this expansion in the near future.

NHL 13 Skates to Franchise High First Week

Electronic Arts announced today a record-setting launch for NHL 13. EA estimates that worldwide sell through for NHL 13 in its first week is up 9 percent globally over last year’s previous franchise high.

How fans are playing NHL 13:

  • Since the launch of NHL 13, fans have created just under 50,000 of their own alternate versions of the NHL through the new GM Connected feature.
  • During the first week, the New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins were the most popular teams used across all game modes.
  • Fans have played over 3.7 million online games, or the equivalent of over 350 games a minute.
  • Fans have scored just under 5 million goals in the first week, dwarfing the 244 goals scored during the first week of the real 2011-2012 NHL regular season.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z Announced

From Team Ninja and producer Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, comes a new game project involving zombies, action, ninjas and mechs. Revealed as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, the game is currently under early development between Inafune’s studio, comcept, and Team Ninja, with co-development by Spark Unlimited. Although no further details on the game are being disclosed, fans can get a glimpse at Yaiba in a new teaser video.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection Dated, Bonus

Konami today unveiled the launch date for Zone of the Enders HD Collection, coming October 30th to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Konami will also include a demo of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance along with the retail version of Zone of the Enders HD Collection at launch. The demo will be the first time consumers will be able to experience the title’s “cut at will” game mechanic first hand.

Way of the Samurai 4 DLC Released

XSEED Games announced today that a series of add-on packs have been released for Way of the Samurai 4, and are now available for download on PlayStation Network at prices ranging from $0.99-$4.99.

Headlining the DLC, “Where Are They Now?” ($4.99) will add a new mission and unlock characters who may be familiar to fans of the series, as the heroes of previous installments (Dona Dona and Sayo from Way of the Samurai and Way of the Samurai 2, respectively) will enter the battlefield as playable characters with custom gear.

Furthermore, new challenges await in the “Shinsengumi” DLC pack ($4.99). Players will be tasked with completing a new mission that rewards them with one of the most famous members of the legendary Shinsengumi group.

In addition to these new missions, three rare weapons packs (each available for $2.99), a mineral pack which will allow players to construct weapons ($0.99) and a scrolls set that adds new attacks ($0.99) will be introduced for players to gain quick access to armaments and skills.
