Sega announced today that Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll for the Wii has shipped to stores nationwide. The loveable characters from the original Super Monkey Ball, AiAi, MeeMee, GonGon and Baby, are back with all new puzzles and party games specifically designed to fully utilize the Wii Balance Board accessory or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.

    The Super Monkey Ball franchise, created by the famed developer, Toshihiro Nagoshi, has a rich lineage of games that began life in the arcades of Japan and later debuted as a GameCube launch title. Now nine years later and with the addition of the Wii Balance Board, gamers have a blast, physically feeling what it would be like to roll around in a Monkey Ball. Art of Murder: Cards of Destiny is Gold

City Interactive today announced that Art of Murder: Cards of Destiny for the PC has gone gold and will ship to stores in two weeks. Art of Murder: Cards of Destiny is the latest offering for the Art of Murder franchise that finds FBI special agent Nicole Bonnet in the crosshairs of a demented serial killer who leaves playing cards near the bodies of his victims.

THQ oday announced that World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars has shipped to stores nationwide exclusively for the Xbox 360.

    In World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars, players start off their career as a World of Outlaws rookie who must compete in several high octane races to ultimately make their way to the World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. Throughout the game, players can take on fierce competitors like Donny Schatz, Steve Kinser, Jason Meyers and Joey Saldana, while also experiencing real time track deformation in some of the toughest tracks in the World of Outlaws series. Additionally, players can race up to eight people in five multiplayer events over Xbox Live.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Announced

Ubisoft today announced that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is in development at Ubisoft’s Paris studio and is scheduled to be released worldwide Holiday 2010. Created by the team behind Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, the game will feature cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is offering gamers a chance to be the first to play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’s Multiplayer Beta this Summer. This exclusive beta invitation will be available for a limited time to customers who purchase Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction for the Xbox 360, which releases on April 16th.

BioShock 2 Ships

2K Games announced today that BioShock 2 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC has shipped to stores nationwide.

    The single player serves as a sequel to the original game and provides fans with an unsettling storyline, dazzling visual design and the evolution of the genetically enhanced shooter gameplay. Set almost a decade after a grueling civil war consumed the once magnificent city of Rapture, evil reverberates through the halls and a wickedness once thought gone forever returns along the Atlantic seaboard. An unspeakable series of kidnappings from local seaside communities by an unseen monster leads to the repopulation of Little Sisters in Rapture’s failed utopia under the ocean. Players must step into the boots of one of gaming’s most iconic characters, the Big Daddy, as they traverse through the fallen city, fending off attacks from an army of genetically modified Splicers, while searching for escape and the key to their survival.

    Multiplayer in BioShock 2 provides fans with a rich and engrossing prequel experience that expands upon the fiction of Rapture’s origins. Set during the year before Rapture’s descent into chaos, players assume the role of a Plasmid test subject for Sinclair Solutions, a key provider of Plasmids and Tonics in the underwater city that was first explored in BioShock. Players will enter into areas from the original title as they struggle to gain superiority in franticly paced battles.

LEGO Stars III: The Clone Wars Coming

LucasArts and TT Games today announced the development of LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Developed by the same team at Traveller’s Tales that created the LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones series, the game will ship on the Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360 in Fall 2010.

    LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will include all the characters from both seasons of the hugely popular animated television series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as some fan-favourite characters from the beloved theatrical Star Wars Saga. The game will feature brand new battle modes, giving players unique, head-to-head combat and an upgraded level builder, allowing the creation of customized bases and in-game battlefields. Play either as a Jedi or Separatist with all-new character abilities, such as Squad command, Lightsaber slicing, Lightsaber jumps, long distance Jedi attacks and Grapple Tie-Ups, all within a new, easy-to-navigate hub.

Need for Speed Shift Ferrari DLC

Electronic Arts today announced that, after a seven year hiatus, Ferrari is returning to Need for Speed. On February 16th, Need for Speed Shift players will be able to download a content pack that delivers 10 Ferrari cars including the 430 Scuderia and the ultra-rare FXX and F50 GT. The Ferrari Racing pack is the latest downloadable content for Need for Speed Shisft and will be available today exclusively on the Xbox 360 for $10.00 or 800 Microsoft Points.

    In addition to 10 new cars, the Ferrari Racing Series will also extend Shift’s career mode with 46 new Ferrari specific challenges designed for the Ferrari cars to participate in including hot laps, eliminators, endurance races and a world tour. Completing the perfect Ferrari package are an additional 125 gamerpoints as a reward for undertaking various exciting challenges. All Ferrari cars can also be taken online where players can prove who has the skills to master these high-performance Italian racing machines.

Greg Hastings Paintball 2 Announced

Majesco today announced Greg Hastings Paintball 2 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. Greg Hastings Paintball 2 introduces more than 10 single and multiplayer game modes each staged in all-new paintball locations based on actual fields around the world. Featuring three new event branches – Tournament Speedball, Recball, and Tournament Woodsball — the challenge will be intense as players test their skills on multiple fields where the weather conditions are constantly in flux. Greg Hastings Paintball 2 is expected to release this September.

    In Greg Hastings Paintball 2, players take to the field in 12 global paintball locations, each containing three to six different fields. Seven single-player game modes challenge the most experienced “ballers” to hone their skills and then test them against up to 19 others in seven different multiplayer game types.

    Whether playing alone or against others, Greg Hastings Paintball 2 ups the ante with game-changing weather conditions and field hazards including rain, wind and fog. While the difficulty level may have increased, so have the tools at the players’ disposal as the game features an improved map editor along with the hottest new gear and weapons. When things are at their bleakest, players can even use the all-new cheat meter that lets them avoid elimination by successfully wiping away paint splatter before they’re caught.

    Serious “ballers” can even become general manager of their own 10-player team composed of more than 100 professional and amateur paintball players. Gamers can trade players, issue commands, and use their earnings from the field to build each player’s individual stats, so the overall team is that much more competitive. The better the team assembled, the more tournaments a player stands to win, providing him with added cash to buy new gear, players and skill upgrades.

Tomena Sanner on WiiWare

Konami today announced the availability of Tomena Sanner on WiiWare for 500 Wii Points. In this side-scrolling action game popularized in Japan, players must race against the clock while avoiding a myriad of obstacles in order to reach the ultimate dance party.

    In Tomena Sanner, players assume the role of Hitoshi Susumu, a businessman who is behind schedule and can’t stop running. Players are tasked with helping Mr. Susumu on his madcap adventure, while avoiding barriers along the way including samurais, T-Rexes and cowboys. A unique time -based control system challenges gamers to coordinate their moves to keep up speed and perform various tricks such as flying, jumping and dancing in order to reach their dance party destination.

    By the touch of just one button, gamers of all ages and skill levels can guide Mr. Susumu to his goal while reading humorous notes that flash along the in-game ticker. Nine different levels including Moon, Jungle and City landscapes ensure long lasting fun, while the multiplayer mode allows up to four players to race against each other in order to compete and compare online rankings and high scores. Additional games modes like Endless Level and Turbo up-the-ante by testing players’ endurance and skills.

Hudson Announces Dream Chronicles

Hudson Entertainment partners with PlayFirst to bring the adventure game Dream Chronicles to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network beginning this Spring.

    Dream Chronicles takes place in an ethereal world where the lines between reality and fantasy fade away. Players take on the role of Faye, who must follow subtle clues to find her missing husband and escape from the mysterious sleeping spell that has taken over the town of Wish. Players will search high and low for the solutions to puzzles and obstacles that block their way across 18 fantastic locations and can even work with a friend, either online or offline, to solve the mystery that unfolds.

UFC Undisputed 2010 Details Revealed

THQ today announced the first gameplay details surrounding UFC Undisputed 2010. Poised to deliver intelligent and intuitive combat, increased fighter customization, robust career progression, challenging new gameplay modes and online offerings, UFC Undisputed 2010 is currently in development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PSP. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are scheduled for release on May 25th while the PSP version is scheduled for release later this year. In addition, current UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar will be featured on the cover of UFC Undisputed 2010.

    UFC Undisputed 2010 is the only mixed martial arts (MMA) videogame this year that will deliver the action, intensity and prestige of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Players will navigate an unparalleled roster of more than 100 prolific UFC fighters, each fully rendered to convey a photorealistic appearance. Prominent UFC personalities, including commentators Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg, veteran voice of the Octagon Bruce Buffer, the Octagon Girls, referees, trainers and more, will return to showcase an authentic and memorable UFC videogame experience.Enhanced combat will offer players a new Sway System with full upper body and head movement that allows for the dodging of attacks. On the ground, a new Posture System will enable players to deliver stronger, fight-ending strikes from every position. In addition, players will manage Octagon control with new strikes, submissions, transitions and cage positions, as well as experience added realism with the introduction of Southpaw stance. Players will also enjoy customizable freedom with created fighters by combining moves from numerous MMA disciplines, including new moves taken from Sambo, Karate and Greco-Roman Wrestling, to become true mixed martial artists.

    UFC Undisputed 2010 will encourage online camaraderie like never before, as players will have the ability to form fight camps and leagues, train like real-life UFC fighters and go online to compete against other camps in the virtual UFC world. Career Mode will also return, including a new “Game Is Watching You” system that will track every action and use this information to dictate in-game commentary, opponent intelligence and overall career progression. In addition, players will enhance their Career Mode experience through online co-op sparring sessions with their respective fight camps and form unique personalities for created fighters to increase their cred, popularity and sponsorships based on interactions during weigh-ins and interviews.

    UFC Undisputed 2010 will also introduce players to three new gameplay modes. Title Mode will enable players to fight through one of UFC’s five official weight classes to earn and defend a championship belt. In Title Defense Mode, players will see a fighter’s condition remain persistent but offer milestone challenges built in along the way. In addition, the game’s Tournament Mode will allow players to explore up to 16-player individual and team tournaments within one system. The mode will be compatible with both UFC and created fighters, as well as deliver two unique gameplay styles. Arcade-style play will offer the ability to repeat a fighter’s appearance, while simulation play will limit fighter representation to one appearance.

THQ Announces All Star Karate

THQ today announced that All Star Karate is currently in development exclusively for Wii and is scheduled for release this Spring.

    In All Star Karate, players will follow the life of a young, martial arts novice whose noble attempt to save an elderly man from a pack of ninjas brings him face-to-face with a true karate master. The sensei, a cantankerous old-timer, offers his services and teaches his new protégé the proper techniques and disciplines of karate and guides him toward achieving the black belt. In single-player, Career mode, players will execute and master various karate moves utilizing the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or two Wii Remotes, in order to attain the seven different colored belts or achievement levels in karate, including the black belt. Additionally, players can show off their hand, kicking and blocking techniques by sparring with a friend in Challenge mode or by creating their own move sequences to perform with the Kata Editor.

30 Seconds to Mars DLC for Guitar Hero

This week’s Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero DLC features three singles by Los Angeles-based alternative rockers, 30 Seconds to Mars. The 30 Seconds to Mars Track Pack features hit singles “Attack” and “From Yesterday” from A Beautiful Lie as well as “Kings and Queens”, the first single from This is War. The 30 Seconds to Mars Track Pack is now available via Xbox Live Marketplace for 440 Microsoft Points, from the PlayStation Store for $5.49 and the Wii Shop Channel for 550 Wii Points. The three songs are also available as single downloads for Xbox 360 for 160 Microsoft Points, PS3 for $1.99 and Wii for 200 Wii Points each.
