Independent game studio Vlambeer and publisher Devolver Digital today announced that the aerial dogfighting simulator Luftrausers will launch on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC via Steam and Humble on March 18th for $9.99.

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced the game lineup for its annual Spring Fever PlayStation Store event, highlighting upcoming games created by independent developers and offering exclusive discounts for PlayStation Plus members. Spring Fever will also feature weekly sales on popular gaming franchises, including Need for Speed, Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and BioShock.
This year, Spring Fever features new indie games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. With a new PS3 and PS4 title launching each week over the next four weeks, this year’s offering nearly doubles that of the previous year.

Danish investment firm, SDN Invest, has acquired Apogee Software, Ltd, doing business as 3D Realms (not to be confused with Apogee Software, LLC – publishers of Rise of the Triad). SDN Invest is part-owner and principal investor in Denmark-based game studio and Rise of the Triad developer, Interceptor Entertainment. Effective immediately, the new CEO of 3D Realms will be Mike Nielsen. Mr. Nielsen also serves as Chairman of the Board at Interceptor.
Microsoft today announced that March’s set of free games for Xbox Live Gold Members will be Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution and Dungeon Defenders.
Starting Saturday, March 1st, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution will be free for Xbox Live Gold Members through March 15th. Then on March 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Dungeon Defenders for free.
