MotoGP 19 – Neural AI Explained

Milestone has announced A.N.N.A., an acronym for Artificial Neural Network Agent, its new artificial intelligence based on neural networks, which will be used in a racing game for the first time, starting with MotoGP 19. This neural network AI is the result of more than two years of joint development with Orobix.

With A.N.N.A., developers provide a goal and the tools available to reach it. Then, through a complex rewarding system, they “teach” the AI which behaviors are useful to reach the goal and which are counter-productive; it will be the AI itself that learns which are the best actions to take to reach its goal.

MotoGP 19 will be available on June 6th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. It will launch a few weeks later on Nintendo Switch.
